What is everyone bringing ? Food> could everyone list what they are bringing , Just so we don't all show up with 2 packages of hot dogs and no buns.

( Hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, katchup, mustard, pickles, chips, dips, Buns, cole slaw, chopped onions, Soda, napkins, paper plates, etc ) since this is pot luck..

I will bring 6 packages of really good hot dogs & chopped onions...

Vickki McKenna is also very, very, very pro-carry and pro-gun.

I think she might be interested in promoting the event as well. She has talk-shows in both Madison and Milwaukee.

(edit) Oh darn... :(I just thought of something. And sure enough... crap.

One other note. Milwauke County's water park Cool Waters has it's opening daythat weekend. If it's warm, the parking overflows out onto the grass in the area with the ball-field logo. The Park ropesit off as an overflow lot.And the whole area inside the park can be like a minor traffic jam.

FYI
Someone should definitely inform McKenna about this. I'm sure she wouldn't miss it for the world.

I'm assuming you mean the overflow lot is SW of the Cool Waters complex, near the baseball field. Makes sense. Parking may be a cause for a bit of concern, but I don't think it's enough to warrant a change of plans. Even in that overflow lot, we'll still be 1000+ feet from the nearest school. Suppose the only problem will be a possibility of people freaking out seeing us unpack/load/holster our firearms after we get out of our cars, which I really don't care about.

Last think I want to think about right now is food...I'll end up buying it early and eating it. :D

Along with the standard food faire that you noted, we would also need a grill (or grills), tablecloth(s), and utensils.

If people want to start planning what to bring now, go for it.

Just had a thought ( scary ) does anyone know a Lawyer that would open carry with us ??

I just might. Let me send a couple emails to some friends. A friend of a friend is a lawyer, but I'm not sure what she practices.

Also, one of the guys I work with is a neighbor of Mr. Krause. I'll see if he can lend us a hand on that accord.

It's almost allways too cool for swimming that weekend in WI, (My b-day's the 27th, and my wedding anniv. is too,so I have a long memory of these weekends) so I think the odds are in our favor. Probably worse odds that it'll be cold or nasty that weekend instead. (fingers crossed)

And I just realized your reasoning for picking area 4, the others are all much closer to Nathan Hale H.S. Durrr... the logistics of this are new to me.

Good to hear on the weather prediction. I'm used to North Dakota weather now, so anything above freezing is a heat wave.

On the note of choosing Area 4, here's a few maps I made of where 1000 feet extends from the picnic area. In the Satellite picture, Nathan Hale HS is in the bottom right-hand corner.

Note how pretty much the only part of the circle that extends outside of the park is in the Residential area to the West, which has no schools in it.

And right next to Nathan Hale H.S. in the very corner of the picture, that little building with the tiny red arrow pointing south in it's driveway is the WAPD...

I should be able to make that event depending on vacation plans for around that time. As the date gets closer and I know my plans 100% i'll let you know, but I would love to make it and carry to show full support. Also if I am able to make it i'm a little unclear on the decision about bringing family unless meaning kids more specifically. Because i'd like to bring a couple or few family and friends who are very pro-guns but i just don't know that they'd be comfortable carrying for fear of confinscation, at least at this point in time.

I doubt we have to worry about confiscation, if the cops do show up, I think they will mind their P's& Q's , specially if we have a lawyer present & or the media, we won't be doing anything illegal , just eating food, hanging out, listening to musicand talking politics..oh yeah, I will bring a boom box, gotta have tunes...:D

Friends and family are just fine. As for others' hesitance, don't worry about it. To be honest, I doubt my Girlfriend will want to carry a firearm, so she'll be carrying a camera instead.

Ok sounds good, I figure even if there are a few people not carrying it still shows any media attention more people showing their support. Great job getting this organized by the way, sounds like it'll be a great, great turn out!

i have a gas grill i can bring if needed. .. (only the one.. and its not a big grill, sorry)
and can bring a few bag of buns from sams club.. this is definitely looking to be the OC event of a lifetime for milwaukee area.. :)

i know a few lawyers.. and ill see if any of them are interested..
i dont know if they oc, or are even sympathetic to the cause.. but if they are.. it would be a shame not to ask at least..

ill also be asking some officers from milwaukee pd to show up.. but i doubt they want to risk the general seeing them in the paper or on the news.

If this event nears 100 people or more, let me know andwe would be willingbring down the big equipment. If you want to roast a few hogs, we can do that.

Our catering schedule is open for that date, and I will keep it open for this event if needed.

Send me a PM or ask parabellum for my number.

Thanks,

Harry N.
