Moving on out to Cheney, all right. I am down. Sounds like a perfect oportunity to go past Cheney to do some shooting at Fish Trap in the morning, and back to town for food.

Good question brought up by coworker. Pub right in the name, how is the seating restrictions? Sizeable area where 9.41.300 D does not apply?

I love the idea of doing some shooting together as a group. Unfortunately this is my son's birthday and we already have party plans for him in the afternoon (though odds are he would rather go shooting).

Maybe one topic you guys could discuss is a regular shooting outing as a group.

I would be interested in a monthly shooting day. Good idea O2Ryan. What other activities would anyone else be interested in?

I have my Utah, remember Nevada no longer recognizes Utah. Most web sites are still listing Nevada as honering Utah. Dont get caught in that trap.

The bar area (victim disarmament zone) has a half height wall around it. Most of the facility is open to us. There is a game room with billiards and ping pong; an area around the stage and dance floor with small tables; and an area curving around two sides of the bar with booths and tables. We can move tables together if we want.

Tasty and messy. Bar food, so it's served in a basket without flatware, like the Red Robin. I usually use a lot of napkins. Different sandwiches, hamburgers, philly cheese steak, and others; fish and chips; pizza; and similar. You can get a good meal for $8 or less. Some things on the menu are $9 or a bit more.

Some of you may be for a group trip to Fishtrap now, but I'm for warmer and dryer weather. April or May? Spend a few hours there and then:
1. Go a bit farther down I-90 and eat at the Oasis in Sprague.
2. Bring our own food and have a cookout at Fishtrap.
3. Stop in Cheney on the way back to Spokane and visit The Eagles again.

Great Ideas. I have access to a full sized smoker on a trailer that I would love to tote out there and make a day of it. BYOM!

This would also be available for more public meet-ups in a park like setting. Consider that in your planning discussions on the 20th.

I go out to Fish Trap at least once a month. I have 3 self built target stands that live in the back of my truck thatI set up at whatever distance I want. Have a couple fold out tables and benchs/chairs.

Have already discussed with a friend about doing a weekend shooting trip once it gets warmer. Go up Friday night, set up tents (it is state land after all), bbq. Shoot all day Saturday, bbq again. Head back Sunday.

The only bad thing about Fish Trap is the damn wind that kicks up. Being up in the flats and only being open fields and all means it can be a bit breezy and cold. Twice I have shot up there where the wind was over 20 mph constant. When it gets real bad I will just park my truck with my table right behind it so it at least shields the windon me.

If anyone is interested in going before the meet on the 20th and would like a ride to Fish Trap to see where most people do their shooting just message me. More then willing to take a few people.

This is cool. I will be spending my VD with my gf Saturday so out for me.

I never see much trash out there though. Have shot in 3 different places in fish trap and the most I ever see is some brass and shot up clays.Which is a good thing I. Never seen any spots that looked like they had been used for dumping.

Fishtrap range cleanup for 2/13/2010 HAS BEEN CANCELLED due to lack of lead time.

A new date will be forthcoming soon.

It is beginning to look like 2/27.
