Here is some important information concerning those who carry here in Reno/Sparks. On July 1 I made a public records request and fortunately this time there was a non-sworn person to take the request. I got a call this week (from a blocked number, heh!) to come pick up an envelope, which I did on July 22. Let me share with you the documents they provided, redacted for my privacy.

Below I will attempt to embed JPEGs from my photo host. The forum software is sizing them down, so just use your Control key and mouse wheel to size up temporarily.

The errors and lies in the Miller memo are too many to address (they even spelled my name wrong), but I wanted to point out a few things.

I never tried filing an IA complaint and I never used an alias with police. I have this forum user name and others which could be considered aliases, but none were used to file an IA complaint. I did submit an auto burglary complaint, signed with my name not an alias, for my stolen-by-cops video camera and notebook. I believe then-Lt. now deputy Chief Miller was referring to an out-of-state phone caller, a member of OCDO who took a strong personal interest in this case.

To that OCDO member: Did you give your name to Tom Miller when you called? Your phone number?

These memos show the disdain they have for open carriers, the disdain they have for the law, the disdain they have for recording, and the disdain they have for the truth. Please be careful.

The chief's memo kind of said, "Everybody calm down, open carry is legal," but it also shows he wanted to prohibit firearms in the building.

FYI item #1 in my request was for the phone records of calls to the head of security at my employer, a retired Sparks PD commander who, together with his boss, also a retired Utah cop, harassed me at work two days after my second trial. They said someone saw me carrying a gun "in the building" at work. I just sat there poker-faced while the Utah cop lied his ass off, eventually got frustrated with me, and assaulted me. The former SPD commander, when confronted later, admitted SPD called him but said he "forgot" who it was exactly, "somebody in administration." So I didn't get the phone records of who called the former SPD commander, but Tom Miller's memo suggests it was him.

I think it's time for government to lose attorney-client privilege. All they have to do is CC an attorney and boom, they can claim privilege when in fact it is just a ruse to avoid public disclosure.

now yard sale, why, pray tell, are you now up in an uproar 5.5 years after the fact about this?

interestingly the video you posted as well as the comments to forum members in July 12, again 1.5 years after the event...

yard sale, 07-05-2012, 11:10 AM post #1 quote:
Off-topic, not OC. However, on-topic to my illegal seizure of Dec. 18, 2010 in which the cops, under the same false authority to seize, stole my pistol, video camera, and notebook.

The dude in the shorts with no indication of authority besides the word POLICE on his vest, threatened false arrest. He said he could detain me for one hour. According to NRS 171.123, a LEO can detain for suspicion of a crime or violation of parole or probation. unquote.

now i spent an enjoyable 10 minutes watching your cited video in 5 July 12 which clearly shows you on a scoot, failed to show this viewer any seizure of a firearm, or video camera, or notebook, or the individual dressed in shorts w/police vest threaten you with arrest, nor any officer 'search' your helmet.

care to provide an explanation?

additionally, your Sparks PD FOIA obtained documents do specifically state you wouldn't roll down a window nor exit the vehicle and they found a firearm. i guess i missed you being asked to roll down your window or exit the scoot.

so tell us are you purposely engaging in obfuscation of your situation(s) for some nefarious scheme or...

please see my first sentence of this post

ipse

added...btw...if it isn't bravado, thanks for setting road blocks back to established statutes.
