Gotta love the ignorant. I have carried in both my banks with no problem. Wells Fargo, and Chase in Lacey off Martin and Marvin. One time on the way in the bank, I held the door open for the armed guard on his way out to the truck with god knows how much money on his dolly. Most banks do not have any official "no gun" policy (in WA State), just the misinformed holophobe/sheeple managers making stuff up as they see fit.

Well it finally happened!

I got pulled over by a state trooper for doing 48 mph in a 35 mph zone. This was the first time getting pulled over since I became a gun owner, so I shut the car off and put my hands on the steering wheel. When he got to my door he asked if I had a handgun, I said yes in the glove box unloaded (coming from no carry work). He just said OK leave it alone, and let me have your license, proof of insurance, and registration. I gave him a heads up that I was going to the glove box to get my documents, and he was like OK do what you gotta do. Gave him all the stuff, and he went back to write my ticket. He came back, handed me my stuff and said to slow down. Sorry, no dramatic "give me your gun so I can disassemble it, strip the rounds out, and secure it for my safety" scenario.

Hiked up Rattlesnake Ledge yesterday and even in the light rain it was a busy day on the trail. Not one word was said. Lots of different cultures were hiking along the trail as well. I assume mostly Microsoft people....

Nice weekend

Spent the weekend camping at Alder Lake State Park. Unlike last year, from THIS thread, there were no issues this year whatsoever. The incorrect signage has been removed, the staff was well informed and friendly, and I had several positive converstaions with other campers and handed out a few pamphlets. As an added bonus, the rain held off until Sunday, and it was actually pretty nice weather for this time of year.

National Trails Day

I went to the Woodland Creek park in Lacey with my son, and daughter for National Trails Day. We helped spread bark on the trails in the park for a few hours. None of the Boy or Girl Scouts ran in horror. Perfect weather for a productive day out with the family.

Went to Auburn DMV today. Only a few looks, and a concerned mother. No words said though. Headed over to Sams in Renton. No issue either.

Breakfast

Went shooting with a buddy saturday morning. On our way back we decided to grab some breakfast at The Kettle in Enumclaw. I forgot I still had my Glock 27 in my OWB holster. Normally I only OC when in the woods. I CC everyday. I was always on the fence about OC in civilization :) but when I realized I still had my Glock in the OWB holster I figured, Oh Well and walked in. Once I was inside I had a great breakfast with my buddy and left. No issues. Only got a strange look from the waitress.

OC is still not my carry method of choice (in Public) but its growing on me.

Thanks to everyone posting on this Forum!

No issues and only a couple of looks.

While I was OCing at Fred Meyer I noticed someone who might as well have been. His t-shirt was printing really well and the gun was sticking out about 1-1/2" below. Hopefully seeing me will give him the courage to just OC.

Had breakfast with my wife this morning at a relatively new restaurant ( only open a couple of months) in Gig Harbor. We sat in the sun on the deck at NetShed No. 9. Great atmosphere and amazing food. I only got a couple of strange looks from other patrons. Maybe they were envious? I know that the more I go there, the fewer looks I will get. It's all part of normalizing open carry. Only one brief look, but no comments from the very pleasant staff.

I constantly see people cc'ing and failing miserably. Usually I see them at work. I like to ask them what they are carrying. The reaction is the same every single time.
They always pretend they don't know what I'm talking about. They say something like, "What do you mean?"
Then I point at their hip and say, "Your pistol. What are you carrying?"

Every single time they get this look on their face as if to say, How could he possibly know?

It's like this family dinner I was at a few months ago. A cousins boyfriend was cc while I was oc'ing. He took his over shirt off and then yanked his to-tight t-shirt over his gun. He could see me oc'ing yet he still couldn't bring himself to do it too.

Anyway, OC'd to various grocery stores and parks in the Auburn, Puyallup, and Federal Way.

On Monday I oc'd on my motorcycle to multiple locations. First I went to Autozone on A street in Auburn for a new bulb for my wife's brake light. While there another guy on a bike asked if I had any problems with OC.
We spoke for a minute and then I went to pay. One of the men working there pointed at my hip and asked what he needed to do to be able to OC. I told him, "Buy one."
He seemed surprised that there were no other requirements. I gave a him a brief overview of the law and directed him to this website.
Then I went to Sportsmans Warehouse in Puyallup and a couple of other places. It was a great day to OC.

The wife and I went to Belfair today, and she decided to get a *$. As we were leaving, there was a group ow elderly women setting outside. One of them asked in a very disapproving tone "NOW JUST WHY DO YOU NEED TO CARRY THAT GUN?"
My wife, bless her heart, replied "He's compensating for a small penis.":shocker:
As we left the complainant stood there with her mouth open, unable to speak.
Great day in Belfair.

Breakfast again yesterday at NetShed #9 in Gig Harbor. This time an employee mentioned my weapon. As we were leaving, our server nodded towards my gun and said, "I always feel safer when your here."

Had a positive at the yelm walmart on Friday. as I was standing there perusing my shopping selection when I was thanked for carrying my pistol by a female shopper, we had a brief conversation and her husband was retired LEO and he got her into carry as well.

Carry on.

Unicorn sighting

Biker on 100th st in Lakewood was dismounted. He has a tactical thigh rig with a "357 SIG" in it. That's what he told me he carried when I asked. I had my OC as well and we had a quick conversation. We shook hands and departed.

I'm just wondering if it's anyone from the boards or not.
