Yes please.........

I'll take an Auric for home defense. That way I don't have to do anything. I've got an extra room close to the door where he can hang out with glock girl and protect my house.

1-262-843-1625 Ask for Randy... He will probably answer the phone...

Small independent local shop... OC friendly... Good guy.. I have bought a couple of firearms from him. Probably full price on firearm, but maybe good deal on ammo with purchase...

About 20 miles east of Lake Geneva and about the same west of Kenosha... on Hwy 50...

Just bought a couple off weeks ago, Mossberg 930 SPX, 7 in the tube none in the chamber, #4 Buck x 2, then Winchester PDX1 Defender (1oz slug and 00 Buck x 3).

Stands between my bed and the nightstand, and man, it is fun to shoot!!

Last month I bought three Benelli M2 Tacticals for my residences around Wisconsin. Not too bad of a shotgun for a semi-auto.

Home deeeeefense!

I prefer to carry my 930 SPX from residence to residence because my Bentley doesn't have the armor option and you just never know. I do have a 7.62 minigun setup in the foyer of each residence covering the front entrance but they're so expensive to operate (3,000 rounds a minute) and they make such a freakin' mess of the woodwork!

But, they are undeniably cool so I guess I'll get a couple for the vacation homes too.

the 930 spx is nice..but the Mossberg 590 Pump action fits so well in my Ferrari F40 & the Aston Martin, I have a Dozen of them scattered around my properties IN Florida, Texas, Alaska, Maine, the summer home here in Wisconsin, my Vacation compound in the Hamptons & My little resort on Normans Cay in the Bahamas. I always keep one in my Bell Jet Ranger too.

It'll just be easier to list them here:

http://content.yudu.com/A1t5ka/Cabelas78V/resources/index.htm Page 1, top right corner has the Mossberg Tactical for $319.00.

http://www.atigunstocks.com/p-99-top-folding-stock-with-pistol-grip.aspx Upgrade to the tactical top folding stock from ATI for $70. (BTW, ATI is a local company based in Milwaukee. Always a bonus)

ATI also has pistol grips available for most manufacturers, so if you have one at home you're thinking about converting, that's the route to go.

I found a couple of others a while back, but I'm attempting to recall where they were.

Nah, the FN SLP MkI Competition Shotgun is the Cadillac of shotguns. I've heard it is coming out by the end of the year.

Sh*t. I thought I was the only one. And I'm not saying how my Lamborghini APCs are set up.

Yeah, the FN SLP MkI Competition looks nice but the Blue anodized receiver would clash with the interior of the Bentley. I suppose I could always have them custom anodize one to match.

I wonder why 'santana' deleted his post?? ;-)

When you're flying that noisy little Bell into Normans Cay I'd appreciate it if you'd go around my place instead of directly over it. It sooo ruins afternoon tea time!

I have a Remington 1100 16ga I keep under the bed, fully loaded. It's a semi-auto, so the action isn't the same. Plus it still has the wooden dowel in it (can't figure out how to get it out yet) so it only holds 2+1 rounds-no need to handicap myself.

But really, it's way too long for home defense. I'm not sure of the barrel length, but I'm guessing 24", so even getting it out from under the bed would be a chore. I'd love to pick up a 12ga Mossberg 500 with an 18.5" barrel for this purpose. Holds more rounds, shorter barrel, loud pump action. That'll probably be my next firearm purchase-as much as I'd love to have an AR or another pistol, a home defense shotty makes more sense.

Shooting birdshot from a short barreled, unchoked 12ga shotgun is almost gauranteed to hit an intruder even if you just fire towards the sound they're making. Plus the birdshot isn't going to overpenetrate any walls, or the intruder himself-so worrying about the best round with the most stopping power that wont OP walls or the target is a non-issue.

Birdshot most certainly, WILL go through walls. Don't be under the illusion you can't have blow-through and hurt bystanders. (There is a blog called "box o truth" out there that has a bunch of nigh-empirical tests on video if your are curious.) That said, just about any gun that's bigger than an air rifle will go through standard apartment walls, just be damn sure you are ready to shoot, and try to think about the "lower risk" angles beforehand. Point blank is good. (14 inches of meat to pass through first slows stuff down.)

----

I have a Mossberg 590 fully loaded one in the chamber, full side saddle and fixed bayonet next to my bed. (No kids, if the cats kill themselves with it, so be it.) The bayonet sheath is on as is the safety. I don't "put it away."

In the closet, I have a 20 gauge bird gun and a couple of loose rounds.

In the study, another 20 gauge bird gun and a couple of loose rounds. Along with an A-5 (semi-12 gauge bird gun) clone and a few rounds for it.

Pistol (again, loaded one in the chamber) with extra mags in the desk in the study.

My tomahawk and a knife collection are in the under the couch drawer in the living room, I figure I should retreat if I was there anyway so that's not really home defense stuff.

Most of the time (unless my pants are off) there is a Kershaw in my pocket.

I do want to replace the 590 with a pistol-grip 500, but am looking or a different safety. Having it up on the edge like that makes me nervous.

Ok... (If I owned any firearms), what I (would) lovingly refer to as "My Home Protection Unit" (would be) a...

Mossberg 500 Pursuader 12 GA. with (factory) folding stock, pistol grip, heat sheild. All I would have had to add would be a dual point sling, and a small mag lite attached to the firearm. It would all be in black of couse as color corordination is important while functionality is also a good thing.... Oh Yea, an ammo belt that holds many extra rounds (would) is also a good thing to have....
