Anyone know of public ranges in Portland, that don;t require membership?

peace,
Rich

Portland and most of the surrounding cities have ordinances about the discharge of a firearm within city limits. Almost all of the "ranges" in Maine require membership to use. You'd have to go out to some sort of public sand pit or public woods outside of the cities.

The only one I'm aware of is in Poland, which is about a 20 minute drive for me from my house in Portland. It's indoors, and $16 an hour unless you're a member. LE/MIL I.D. will get you a discount, too. It's a nice range, just built this summer. Too expensive for me though. I'd rather shoot at one of the pits that I frequent.

Probably like anywhere in the woods in Arundel... Most of the small towns don't have no-discharge ordinances. If the land is public, shoot there.
