I agree this solus character is a troll. I sent in a request to a site administrator requesting that they take a look at his history of postings across multiple state forums.
Do you even live in Washington State? Because you seem to be borderline trolling...snipp.
~ Sadly yes. Most of the reason I don't frequent what used to be one of my favorite sites is the commentary I seen here, largely from the same couple of people. I will note, that I honestly feel that those same couple posters have driven a significant ammount of people from this site, good people, dedicated people, and has greatly impacted the mission this site had set out to accomplish. I have at times wondered if they were not in-fact agent provocateur with intent to diminish or subvert the sites mission. Sadly, that the letter of law seems to be stronger than spirit of the law here, it has been allowed to continue for years. Agent provocateur is extremely well versed in the rule set, and is careful to navigate accordingly, and thus has never been dealt with.
~ As the site seems to care more about the intricacies invested in the letter of it's law/rule sets, and less for the continuation or strength of it's mission's goals and how outsiders may view the site in general, I have relinquished my investments with the group and returned to being a unicorn. I used to promote and recommend this site often - now, because I don't want people being impacted by the agent provocateur style subversion thats been allowed to propagate here, I do not mention or recommend the site to people I meet, who inquire about open carry laws, and the common gun-owner and potential future open carriers are sadly robbed of what used to be an extremely valuable resource. - As a seasoned open carrier, as someone who learned much from this site, and as a gentleman, I am dismayed at the fact that I find it uncomfortable to come and post here anymore, because those couple posters routinely make the experience "not worth it" [too uncomfortable]. Too many threads routinely devolve in to pizzing matches, and snarky back talking arguments where the sustenance of the topic is all to often lost and the intent of the thread destroyed. ~ Nothing is done regarding them, because they are clever to navigate the rules - and the spirit of opencarry.org has been gravely impacted by such. I believe in rules, but there are times when one has to simply look at the context of character and the impact that an individual has on the whole, and if they are deemed genuinely poison to the health of the mission, and prove themselves effective in breaking down the unity of the whole, then they need to be addressed as such. This is why the pro-gun community will lose to the anti-gunners. You cannot fight with honor against those who hold no regard for such, and at times, one must simply dispatch of those with vial intent lest their ways prove cancerous and degrade the sanctity of the whole.
*** I Stopped by today, first time in many months [almost a year?], and of course this is what I find ... and why I don't drop by often [or recommend the site anymore]. ~ it's F*kin embarrassing.. just so ya know.. ~ guess i'll see ya all in another few months, just to see if anything's changed... but i'm guessing it wont.
Peace out ~
