Surovell's constituent survey (now that he's filed all his legislation) is at scottsurovell.org/survey.

He needs to get hammered with "NONE OF THE ABOVE" on his gun questions. When he initially went live with the survey, it did not include said option, and it was a "required" question -- needed in order to continue. I called him on it, and he "fixed" it by adding NOTA.

If you're in the 44th, please answer it.

Preserving the quality of our streams, rivers and lakes and open space are critical state government functions that preserve our quality of life, promote tourism, and our environment for generations to come. I will continue to:

Work to end the ban on Sunday hunting in Virginia.
Fight to encourage the preservation of open space for hunting.
Fight to keep our lakes, rivers and streams clean ensuring Virginians right to fish.
Continuing Virginia's membership in the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin.
Properly fund programs to track and control invasive species such as the Northern Snakehead.
Work to balance the right to own guns with public safety concerns by working towards common sense restrictions on firearms such as closing the gun show loophole and reinstating Virginia's ban on concealed weapons in restaurants where alcohol is served.

You're right about his stance - for now. Until last year, his site was generally mute on guns. He sways with the Party, but needs to know that won't play here.

The thing about Surovell is that he will do what the Party tells him to do - constituents be damned. (I personally believe if the Party platform included boiling little children in oil and serving them with pepper, he'd be explaining what a good idea this is -- yes, hyperbole, but he is a Party man through and through.) But he does share the results of his survey, usually during his town hall, which is coming up on the 25th. Slamming him with "none of the above" on that question WILL be noticed, even if it has no impact.

If you don't want to participate in the survey, fine. I encourage participating because I know the information will get out, and I encourage everyone to participate in any legislator's on-line surveys to get our message across. NO MORE GUN CONTROL.
