Yes, phishing pole was mentioned in the article in case some folks might not be sure about that.

And the event organizer will be on hand to keep folks out of trouble.

But good catch! ;-)

Don't you mean that you need a phishing license and a phishing pole?

Sarch or Mashay? A Protest By Any Other Name

Who knows? The mileage may vary. Florida Carry put the terminology on the flyer without consulting me. :)

But maybe it is time to get a little more forceful. Being kitten-little has gotten zilch progress.

You see, the Florida Legislature and Governor are TERRIFIED at anything affecting their tourism dollars.

So nothing at all will happen towards restoration of open carry unless we give them the choice of the lessor evil (to them).

Do they want to legalize open carry, and have the occasional person sashay around with a holstered pistol on his hip, or do they want to see long arms showing up at public parks and beaches and fishing, and being toted through public places to get there, not to mention small unorganized groups carrying long guns fishing at public parks when other events happen to be going with lots of snowflakes everywhere that will be on the phone later yelling at their lawmakers.

The heat is gonna get hotter the longer they delay our rights. That strategy worked to get open carry for Texas, and I'm glad to see Florida Carry starting to utilize it.

"March" sounds so military and forceful.

Might I suggest the term "walk", "stroll", or even ;) "sashay"?

Agree entirely with ramping things up.

HOWEVER, since FL seems to have fairly spineless Republicans, since the Heller ruling hasn't been applied consistently/hardly/at all, since FL has no RKBA in its Constitution, I could see the p@$$y legislators remove what little protection OC has in FL.

Also, however, one has no rights if one doesn't exercise them. But, if one is going to go down, one might as well go down fighting.

More power to all who participate and to FL Carry.

Well said from The Peach state, guess that is why FL Carry didn’t consult with you on their flyer about their event?

To clarify a point, TX OC strategy didn’t work well at all, now did it? Especially when the LoneStar citizens have to have a privilege card (supports gov profit center) and the nice LEs are permitted to stop OC’g citizens for their ‘papers.’

Ya that strategy worked out really well now didn’t it!

Now you will excuse me as i put on my OC sidearm and venture out in the community w/o any burdensome extraneous ‘papers’ in my wallet!

Due to certain circumstances they have changed the meet-up location to the Marion County Parking Facility 346 NW 2nd st. 34475.

I’m sorry...
quote, Due to input from local law enforcement and concerns for the safety of the participants we have moved the starting point. Unquote. Fm OP’s FB cite.

Who is writing this group’s promos...this reads as if LE has issued a threat, real or perceived against the participants?

You consider this comment ‘certain’ circumstances?

Really?

IIRC, they had about 250 or so. The event went well with no issues with LE.

There's another one - same place, this April 6th.
