I carry a Sig P226 in 9mm, and I used to carry a Sig P220 in .45acp.

I actually am much happier with the 9mm, although both are very capable defensive calibers.

I carry a Ruger P95 concealed in an Uncle Mike's holster. It's my general-purpose bedside, range and carry weapon. There are better, but there are also definitely worse. For my part, I like the reliability and cost of 9mm in general and the P95 in particular. It's over 1000 rounds and nary a hiccup.

If you're looking to buy one as a first gun, don't hesitate. If you're looking for a dedicated carry weapon, I'd look at an M&P or Glock compact; they're a touch slimmer. The M&P 9c gets my vote as a carry weapon; compact and slim, with good capacity, a decent trigger and comfortable grip. YMMV.

Well, I think I may be the only person who has pocket carried a P95 before.

Good for doing yard work that involved lots of movement because I don't have to worry about my shirt riding up or having it jab my side if reaching down.

Regular jeans but they just have really deep pockets...and I have to tighten the belt. Sure I print a little but I don't care when it's on my property.

For OC, all I have right now is a few Uncle Mikes law enforcement kydex holsters, one paddle and one belt loop. The paddle is currently set up for forward cant (has 6 'settings' which include cross-draw, straight drop, and forward cant. then you can have the same three setup at two different heights.)
