Can we all agree to let SB nuke this thread and interested parties can start a new thread, should they want to, in the future?

FWIW, I've saved what necessary info we might want to use for future planning from this thread in an offline document, if that happens to be a concern of yours regarding locking the thread.

Well if a new thread does happen, maybe title it UPCOMING ROMULUS EVENT. Use the first post (since it can be updated) to add date and time once determined?

PS - glad to see people working together for freedom. Always a good thing in my book.

I think this thread should stay, be locked maybe. But it does show some good beginnings that should be remembered. So I guess I object.

So we'll let the mods/site owners decide. I personally think it's a train wreck that reminds me why I stopped posting here. Speaking if which...I'm on schedule to disappear into the weeds again. Most here know how to reach me apart from here.

Is it a train wreck? You could say so, at this point. Has it served a valid purpose? In my opinion, definitely. Perhaps it doesn't matter much whether it stays or goes in that it's served its purpose, but I don't see any pressing need to delete it.

Although the participation here is not what it once was, it is to the great credit of Mike and John that this forum has the backbone that it does, to stand as the fallback point for reason and truth to be hashed out when elsewhere people want to hush up facts and criticisms they are uncomfortable with. This was the same backbone that built MOC in the face of others opposing it, such as MCRGO scoffing at the idea in the years before we got to proving them wrong. It comes as no surprise that there is no paid members only forum here such as the ammo dump, or any other special privileges for anyone other than moderators and admins. Such things interfere with having an open and useful discourse, and I have always sincerely appreciated this open style of a forum. It has made OCDO one of the most influential American gun rights resources of the 21st century, and it is in the spirit of that that I don't suggest haphazardly deleting threads.

The MOC AmmoDump is not for paid members only. http://forums.michiganopencarry.org/index.php/topic,2001.0.html

...facts can often be missed of you don't look for them and make assumptions.

I seem to recall ammo dump once being for only paid people, didn't you once make an exception for me to join it? As I recall you caught a bit of heat from some when you did it.

I don't think so. It's always been public and always been opt-in (though I have manually added a few ppl/opted them in when one of their discussions gets tossed into the dump).

People - can we stay on topic please?

So to recap -

Currently MOC is considering planning a event in Romulus in the not too distant future.

So tell all your friends and family once the date is announced. It is sure to be a good time for all.

For those planning - simply send me a PM with what you need (pizza, pop, chips, hamburger's, hot dogs...etc) and I will send some funds to aid in covering those items. My budget for this event is $200.

Good on all those working to make this happen. +1

Not considering, actually planning. A permit is needed and has been filed for. Once we have that back, a date will be posted.

I don't even know where to begin on how stupid, unconstitutional and disgusting the idea of a walking permit is, but I at least appreciate the effort.

Hey I don't mind being wrong, it means I get to learn. As a side note, this well sums up the first time we met in 2010, though I don't hold it against you. ;)

While in spirit I agree, I also know having the legality (whether I agree with it or not) on our side will help avoid issues.
