A Republican believes that if it does not harm people then you should be able to use your own money to obtain whatever you want.

A Democrat believes that if it does not harm people, pets, the air, the soil, elephants, elephant seals, plants, African lions, Indian Bengal tigers, the water, manatees, trees, panda bears, illegal immigrants, Isis, condemned prisoners, glaciers, rain forests, deserts, and the current racial make-up of Chappaqua, NY, then they should be able to use other people's money to get what they want.

I recall reading a book sometime ago called " Others peoples Money".. Because of my advanced age, I cannot recall the author thereof.
I do however recall said author was a New York real-estate self proclaimed tycoon, possibly, you can enlightening us with the authors name?..

I await your reply.

LOL. Book or movie, John Kay or Danny Devito? I suspect the movie of a disgusting liberal.

Mr.Nightmare, the book... Now please be so kind as to articulate what the term " disgusting liberal".. actually means.. I am having difficulty locating the term in any of my English speaking dictionaries.. It appears you may have created a new term, such wisdom and scholarly prose..

I await your explanation thereof your created term with much bated breath..

Have a good evening Sir!

I dusted off a copy, the book was written by a brilliant Supreme Court Justice Louis D. Brandeis, (circa 1914) therefore I stand corrected about said author being a New York real estate tycoon.. However I recall said tycoon coining the phrase OPM, "other people money"..

OPM, now who coined that phrase?..

"A phrase of Adam Smith in The Wealth of Nations (1776) Book V, ch 1, §107, referring to how corporate directors will always be inefficient, because they preside over other people's money.

Thanks Grape, Judge Brandeis, Other Peoples Money if I recall denounces the banks wealth and how they use and manipulate other people's money..

Whereas Smith's Wealth of Nations, is more about how nations built wealth during the industrial revolution..

It's probably been 20+ years since I read both. i suspect both copies are gathering dust or that my dear departed wife, donated them to the local library. If I recall I don't think Smith and or Brandeis were on my do NOT donate list of authors..
