The Mist. I would not want to be stuck in a grocery store with them wacko's with out a loaded .357 Mag. the end of that movie made me laugh.....

I'd need something with more capacity than a .357 Magnum revolverif I had to deal with all those nut jobs in the grocery store.

Check out the previews for the upcoming movie 'The Road' as it looks like it will be a pro-gun flick, I hope, or at least a good example of why we need to be prepare. Another one for the post-apocalyptic "they're after us" movies.

Did anyone mention the movie Man on Fire? That deserves to be here.

The Road still has yet to come to a near by theater , limited release movies blow chunks. the closest theater is 80 miles away.:(

Man on fire is an awesome movie, he used a Glock 34 in that movie, so I had to go out and buy one.:D

A new one that surprised me was Did You Hear About the Morgans?

There were two very pro gun scenes towards the end of the movie that showed the usefulness of a gun at home and concealed carry. There was one somemwhat antigun line though when SJP was reading off a bear poster that advised not to shoot them if attacked, but I would argue that was minimal compared to the ending.

I haven't watched Japanimation in quite some time, but this thread has reminded me of a particularly good mini-series: Gunsmith Cats. There are only three episodes (not counting the comics) but the plot is quite good.

Synopsis: The corrupt Chicago ATF division chief works with the champagine-socialist mayoral candidate to import black-market milsurp Russian firearms and ammo via Lake Michigan, and then enact a gun ban in order to raise the prices for their products on the streets.

The heroines are a gunsmith (who carries a CZ-75) and an explosives expert who work with a sleazy Elliott Ness wannabe cop to kill the Russian arms/drugs dealer and expose the whole works.

Another more proper series is 'Cowboy Bebop': After the Earth is destroyed, and other planets/moons/asteroids are colonized, the police are stretched far too thin over the solar system to keep the peace on every planet so they give out huge bounties to spur on private law enforcement. The main characters are bounty hunters who are well versed in handgun combat and martial arts and they scour the galaxy looking for bounty heads (drug dealers, terrorists, smugglers, pirates, mafia-types). Pretty fun and pretty funny up until the last episode.

watched 'how the west was won" last night. plenty of firearms in that movie, and no one seemed to hassle the open carriers back then either.

based on reading this thread, my wife and me just did a weekend long "jericho marathon". i'd never even heard of it, but that was a good tv show.

another movie that might fit in here maybe would be wagons east. it's a western comedy type movie.

Glad you enjoyed Jericho. There have been plenty of interesting shows like this one that have slipped through the cracks for whatever reason. I'll have to look for some and post them here if they fit.
