Now that the Washington State Legislature is controlled by Democrats, a Democrat lawmaker whose district is in Seattle will push to overturn the Evergreen State’s long standing preemption law that prevents cities, towns and counties from adopting their own gun laws.

As KIRO radio reported, State Rep. Nicole Macri wants to knock down the 30-year-old law that placed sole authority for firearms regulation in the hands of the Legislature. No jurisdiction can adopt tougher or contradictory gun laws, such as bans in city or county parks, and other public venues. The law has served as a model for similar laws in other states.

You did not vote...they got elected...now..they ARE coming for your guns. Will you let them?? Will you be in olympia in January? Will you show up on street corners with a copy of the Constitution in hand? Will you volunteer to show up at every local event, no matter what, and warn the People of what they are about to lose??

Or will you put your pistol in the safe. That is if they let you keep it.

Ok, I'll bite, No new news here, this is part of what I wrote back in September replying to a new member who has yet to reply to my post or make any effort to contact,

"The biggest problem Spokane has is the west side. They have the people and are trying to nulify state preemption. This would fall right into Spokane city council thinking and it would be assured that they will outlaw OC.
So many issues, but Olympia and the state supreme court is where its at and I have not heard good things about the supreme court."

I voted here in Spokane, I and a lot of other people fell the election for city council in the 1st dist. was rigged.
I have been to Olympia.
I have handed out many Constitutions.
I have volunteered at local events.
I have not run away, as many others have.

All I can write to those who run away is, censored.

Whatcom County represent!

Whatcom County open carry supporters will deploy several Patriots to make our voices heard in Olympia. Remember, January 12 is the day to show our unity of purpose. Who else is with us?

January 15th, MLK Jr. day, is set for a bunch of anti-gun bills being heard in the WA Senate Law and Justice Committee.

These bills include:
-standard capacity magazine ban
-annual "assault weapon" registration/fee/safety class requirement/storage requirement/public carry ban
-PREEMPTION REPEAL

The hearing starts at 10:00am however you should realistically get in line by 8am because the anti-gunners will try and pack the hearing with their paid activists: MDA.

From the ILA's website:
On Monday, January 15th at 10:00AM, the Senate Law & Justice Committee is scheduled to hear multiple anti-gun bills. Testimony will be limited during the hearing, so all NRA members and Second Amendment supporters are strongly encouraged to arrive early to sign in to testify in addition to meeting directly with their legislators afterwards.

DON'T WAIT FOR ORDERS FROM HEADQUARTERS

Standard advice from gun-rights organizations is to write polite letters to representatives and senators asking them to oppose a bad bill. But, what do you do when your representative or senator is strongly anti-gun and you know they are going to throw your polite request in the round circular file? There's something really simple for a person in your situation to do:

Contact a DEMOCRAT on the committee hearing the bill, and give them a message like this --

Senator _______, I am a citizen who is opposed to bill number(s) _______ which is being heavily sponsored by Democrats. Senator _______ who is in my district is committed to voting for this bill in opposition to my citizen input and I know I cannot change his/her mind. However, I want you to know that I see this as a "Democratic" bill and I am going to change from being just a concerned citizen to a Republican activist in the next election. I will find the weakest Democratic representative/senator in ANY district in the next election, and will become active to defeat that person regardless of whether they vote correctly or incorrectly on that bill. I will donate not only money, but personal time to the Republican opponent simply to knock of any Democrat possible. I will also recruit friends to do the same just to prove to other Democrats that if this bill passes, that your party is at risk of losing control of the Senate/House.

Sincerely,
__________
