As of this past July 1st you CAN carry in an establishment that sells alcohol EXCEPT it MUST BE concealed carry. <- This is essentially the first time concealed and open carry are different as far as localities specific issues are concerned.

AND.... this applies ONLY to places that do NOT serve alcohol. That prohibition remains.

I really don't see myself living in Wyoming.... Too damn cold.

Try Southern Utah. I understand the climate is much like New Mexico, and, as I understand it, there is no prohibition on carrying open or concealed where alcohol is sold or consumed in Utah, as long as you have a permit from ANY state.

but VA has become a non-option due to the hostility of it's OC community on this forum.

You won't move to VA because you might bump in to someone here in public? There are millions in VA. Or are your afraid of the cops being stirred up like a hornets nest. You can have a bad leo encounter anywhere. I don't get it. I guess do Alaska/Vermont in the summer and AZ/NM in the winter.

Start an OC "snow birds" forum!

I hear the Boise, Idaho area gets over 100 for a decent portion of the summer. ;)
I know quite a few OCers in the Boise area, the states firearm laws can't be beat other than maybe AK, VT? Not only is OC not illegal, but it's specifically written in to be a legal activity. We do get cold a couple month out of the year, but it's really not below freezing that often. We'd appreciate another OCer to balance out the influx from 'other' southern *cough* Calif.. *cough* states.
PM me if you want more info.
