To all firearm owners:

I have been informed by my Attorneys in California that the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has rendered a decision in my favor.
I would like to thank all members of my legal team and the NRA for the emotional and financial support in obtaining this historic decision.
In reading the first 24 pages of the 132 page decision, I see where many of the courts findings will be useful for cases here in CT.
I'm sure the internet will have the decision available for everyone to read.

To all who supported the California case thank you

To all in CT don't give up.

In the ruling the judge calls out the 2,3,4 circuits for using interest balancing and calling it intermediate scrutiny. We now have a solid circuit split, if not overturned in en banc, which they will probably receive a request for and have it approved.

Big win. Nicely done.

Not sure what else there is to be done en banc. The decision so thoroughly outlines the controversy that en banc review will only add other votes, but no further legal analysis can be carried out. This wasn't a close question. En banc application will be denied.

Agree here...there's more than a little support for the protection of common weapons and the principle that some policies are off the table when it comes to firearms rights. Regulating a right out of existence is not kosher.

Congratulations Ed, what a huge win!

I was born and raised in CA; only a very small handful of my friends there were ever able to get their CCW permits - which was made possible by them knowing/befriending the right people(CLEOs and such). I hope this decision translates into more good people being able to protect themselves and their families without having to have a connection or "donate" an extraordinary amount of money.

Awesome job sir.
