Nothing For Me But Wife Received Her Utah License Today....

Wife's Utah license dated 11/3/2011. I wonder if my WI license was dropped in someone else's mailbox? I've received many of my neighbors mail and had to hand deliver it to them. I hope if my neighbor(s) got my license they will be nice enough to bring it over. If they know what it is I may not get it...I'm surrounded by Liberals.

My mailperson does that a lot too. Wrong mail here or there. Here's hoping it comes today.

Mailed on 11-1, check cleared 11-8, card, 11-12. Finished with the Cat today, did the WI and UT. Now just pop the UT in the mail, and I'm good. Great class, can't say enough. boar out.

This only goes to prove that training with the Yellow Cat brings good luck. Glad you enjoyed the course and now you can apply for your UT permit right away since you have a WI Concealed Weapons License.

I'll look to confirm but I think it's when requested. Meaning, if the officer discovers you're carrying a firearm and requests to see your permit, you must provide the permit (and possibly your state issued ID or drivers license). But again I'll look to confirm a cite. This is just off memory and can't remember if it's from what I read in the law or what I read on this site in people's posts.

Congratulations my friend. But, aren't you going to miss the open carry "Dance" that WI Carry members have perfected over the years getting into and out of vehicles? (I jest - I am sure you will not miss that.)

now i am dealing with new issues: what am i going to do with all these gun cases? Should i wear my shop gun to and fro, or use my 'public arena' gun when going to and fro?, does my gun match my shoes? the kids are out taking pictures of places with signs posted so i wont have to find out if i go there. then there is the matter of hip or shoulder. i do love prancing through school zones though, having been denied for so long, it's a treat. it is nice to retire from the dance, but i can still dance.

hey, i respect a guy who can hit higher musical notes than my wife. Leo aint so bad, it would be bad if it was Mott The Hoople- All The Young Dudes.

funny story with that song; we used to cruise to that song back in the day, until we found out what it meant, that tape leaped out of the car at 60 miles an hour.

It appears permits are not being processed in the order that they were received.

My app was received on 11/2.

My wife's app was received on 11/3

My check was cashed on 11/14

My wife's check was cashed on 11/15

Previous reports indicated that there were a huge amount of app difference received between 11/2 and 11/3.

For my check being cashed only one day prior to my wife's doesnt make sense.

Her check cashed should be about 2 weeks behind my check.

Both of us have not received our permit.

I have no proof of this but in my mind, and hearing all the anecdotal evidence presented so far, the process goes like this:

1. Mail is received and segregated by date received.
2. Mail is opened and reviewed for basic completeness (no checking of records, just that proof of training is included, all forms signed, none of the Y or N filed out incorrectly)
3. If # 2 fails, put back in envelope with payment and mailed back to applicant.
4. Check deposited
5. Application put in stack for background check
6. Application actually keyed into system and background check is run
7. If passed, queued for printing and mailing
8. If not passed, fee forfeited and rejection letter issued.
