You commented that we can't win back all our rights at once. How do you explain the first American revolution? Didn't that, in effect, do away with all gun control laws?
Yes it did. But I fail to see how such a comparison is relevant to our current situation.

OpenCarry.org is dedicated to educating people about their rights and working to improve those rights any way we can and as often as we can. And we do so by working within the system!!!!

There are other boards where you can discuss the next American revolution but this isn't it!

I understand the frustration that people feel when they see the deck stacked against them and they feel as if there is nothing they can do. But that is exactly what we are trying to remedy here. We want people to understand how to become active in the political process and how to understand the law and to use it to stand up for themselves.

I hope you don't think I am attacking you personally, but as I said in the interview, the battle is winnable if we fight it intelligently. An "all or nothing" approach is doomed to failure and I don't want us to fail!

The founders, too, tried to work "within the system." We all know how well that turned out !!! I agree it's the right thing to do, until such a time (if ever) that falls apart. It's best to be prepared for either outcome.
I plan on crashing the republican's get together in ' 08. If you want something done right, you've GOT to do it yourself.

That was me doing the Delaware requirements part of the podcast -- hope you all got as much grief out of it as I'm still going through.

Meh.

Wow. I thought my state was bad!

I'll have to do a review of Alabama after I (hopefully?) get my pistol permit. Alabama is a 'de jure may issue' state, but a 'de facto shall issue' state. I've run into the gray area in-between and qualify for a permit, but am not receiving one. I'm going to see an attorney within a week or so. Much fun....
