I'll start by sayingthat I apologize if this should be in the legal forum insteadof Washington, but as it was a Washington specific question I assume it is supposed to go here.

So Ilive is Post Falls, ID and commute to Airway Heights, WA for work (I work at NQRC). I have researched all the Idaho state laws and know thatI am legal to OC here being 19, but haven't been as successful in finding all the Washington state and county laws. My question to you residents is am I legal to carry when I go to the Spokane area to commute to work or pay bills? I often work later shifts and feel better when I am carrying due to all the stories in the news lately about shooting etc. I have carried a few times, but I want to be sure I am legal to ensure I keep my record clean. Can you guys give any input on this? Thanks in advance.

RCW 9.41.240
Possession of pistol by person from eighteen to twenty-one.

Unless an exception under RCW 9.41.042, 9.41.050, or 9.41.060 applies, a person at least eighteen years of age, but less than twenty-one years of age, may possess a pistol only:

(1) In the person's place of abode;

(2) At the person's fixed place of business; or

(3) On real property under his or her control.

You will also need to determine what the Kalispell Tribal laws are regarding possession of firearms on tribal premises (I'm assuming by "NQRC" you mean Northern Quest Resort & Casino).

That sounds like a huge pain in the "upper thigh" area.

I know that drive very well...very short amount of time you're in Idaho, and a lot of worry once you hit the border.

I would just look into a fixed blade knife, or a good folder. A lot less stringent laws on them. I'm sure someone will chime in. A good knife and the know-how to use it effectively is a good defense

However: When you come to visit and recreate in WA, you may OC or CC, in your car or on foot.... RCW 9.41.060(8)

this does NOT include going to work, but only recreational activities like hiking, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, camping...etc. So: If you want to carry here before your 21st birthday, be sure it is for outdoor fun, not work.
