Excellent article - thank you for the link.

Conduct and facts offered by the speakers were exemplary.

The triple damage potential is not sufficient - the tax payers would bear that burden. What is needed is individual/personal liability.

Thank you! As for anything other than we got, we were lucky to get that in this session. Nevada is basically Chinatown in a lotta ways. Maybe next session? But I certainly will call out the liars and local petty tyrants every chance that I get.

Excellent job. Wish I could have been there.

Has anyone mentioned to them the NRS that Tread came up with? Specifically the following:

[h=1]Nevada Revised Statutes 207.190 – Coercion[/h] Current as of: 2014 | Check for updates | Other versions

1.  It is unlawful for a person, with the intent to compel another to do or abstain from doing an act which the other person has a right to do or abstain from doing, to:

(a) Use violence or inflict injury upon the other person or any of the other person’s family, or upon the other person’s property, or threaten such violence or injury;

(b) Deprive the person of any tool, implement or clothing, or hinder the person in the use thereof; or

(c) Attempt to intimidate the person by threats or force.

2.  A person who violates the provisions of subsection 1 shall be punished:

(a) Where physical force or the immediate threat of physical force is used, for a category B felony by imprisonment in the state prison for a minimum term of not less than 1 year and a maximum term of not more than 6 years, and may be further punished by a fine of not more than $5,000.

(b) Where no physical force or immediate threat of physical force is used, for a misdemeanor.

It would seem to this lay person that they're in violation of this Statute. I also believe that the threat of arrest for trespass is a threat of force and therefore a felony under section (C).

Curiousity question.

Is there any chance that our "official" state firearms organization was present, or made comments at last nights meeting???
I'd be shocked if they were as I don't recall them ever showing any outward support of open carry.

Big Guy I have not used that in any of my letters etc. BUT now that they are on notice by more than letters, I hope a few of us intend to give them a few days to chew on things, and then we start showing up carrying. Then we use this, along with suits. I think Tread was asking specific questions of the library in his NORA about citizen arrest. I know he found no policy, so I am guessing he may be heading that way.

NOPE. No surprise. They want money but dont want to fight. As I said before I was told by them in the past that they wouldnt fight because we had no law with teeth. Now we do and they are absent at all things.

Just sent this to turner.

More than a few people showed up last night to a board meeting and made comments, as reported in the article below. I was told by you and the NVFAC in the past that we needed a law with teeth to fight these things. We now have that law. When will the NVFAC step in?

I'll be taking my son to his reading class at the Paseo Verde Library this afternoon. I will be interested to see if I'm approached by Barney Fife or have the police called to see if I'm
legally able to carry per their note.

Didn't go last week due to illness but went today. Was there for about an hour while my son was in his class. Curious thing happened. Not one person ran from the library in panic, no fire alarms pulled, and no cops called.
Security passed by me at least 4 times, and though I sat so he could easily see my firearm, he payed me no mind. I can't say for sure he saw it but it would seem that no one turned me in as a domestic terrorist.

Next time I go I think I'm gong to carry my security six or the 1911. Those are hard to miss.
