OK, this threat to the 4A is getting dangerous.

A cop has grounds to actively act if he sees a crime being committed or investigating one that already has been committed.

More than that is a violation of the 4a.

No RS which means what ever the cop needs it to mean.
No probable cause. The cop can articulate anything he wants to create that true or not.

Plain clothes officer...at approximately 2:30 in the afternoon of October 31, 1963, his attention was attracted by two men, Chilton and Terry, standing on the corner of Huron Road and Euclid Avenue. He had never seen the two men before, and he was unable to say precisely what first drew his eye to them.

....he testified he had been a policeman for 39 years and a detective for 35 and that he had been assigned to patrol this vicinity of downtown Cleveland for shoplifters and pickpockets for 30 years. He explained that he had developed routine habits of observation over the years and that he would "stand and watch people or walk and watch people at many intervals of the day." He added: "Now, in this case when I looked over they didn't look right to me at the time."

He testified that after observing their elaborately casual and oft-repeated reconnaissance of the store window on Huron Road, he suspected the two men of "casing a job, a stick-up," and that he considered it his duty as a police officer to investigate further.

Now freedomVA do your remember how you felt during the story you regailed regarding WMC and your encounter with LE?

You did engage in the ‘papers please?’ excercise didn’t you? BUT Weren’t physically grabbed, spun around and frisked out of the blue while standing immediately in front of the nice LE? NOR Were you detained and immediately arrested, ultimately sentenced to incarceration?

ALL because a nice LE felt “you didn’t look right to them!”

[sidebar..let’s see you make detective in 4 years and you spend the next 35 as a detective in the same cleveland vicinity ~ WOW]
Yes, i do....at that time i did what i could within the law to diffused the situation at that moment, even through i knew the LE was wrong. I followed up with a complaint to his superior and the i am satisfied with the outcome. If the situation would've gone a different route, there would've been a different course of action I've taken.
I have to weigh and treat each and every situation i encounter in my life differently, "one shoe will not fit every feet".

There will always be a "Boss Hog/Rosco" to every LE dept. but i hope most or all LE's could and would uphold their "Constitutional Oath" then we won't have these debates.

With all due respect, you clearly have a problem with critical thinking. You need to rethink your statement in post 119 by rereading posts 113, 114, 115 and 116.

As requested...i have reread post #119, (this is where i asked you, your point)

Post #113, Solus posted, FEMA, blahh, blahhh, blahhhh
post #114, you posted....."There is no more privacy anymore, give up your first born to the gov't for sacrificial offering"
post #115, i posted sarcastically in replied to your post on #114
post #116, your posting implied that i have a big mouth and to shut it.

Am i missing something?

FreedomVA why should you or ANY citizen of this nation ‘do what i could’...’to defuss the situation’ with ANY LE encounter based on the LEs singularity biases based on a citizen’s clothing, skin color, sexual orientation, ad nauseam to stop & ask for the citizen’s papers.

I have personally turned and walked away from two local PDs in a big brick public store who recognizes to follow state/federal statutes as they asked for my papers for OC’g. They chased me hollar’g for me to stop! I did obey, and immediately advised them to call the SO and their supervisors to get direction...they immediately did... as i left them and continued walking through the store’s aisles while shopping.

If mem serves, there was no admission you complained to the agency’s IA about your WMC incident which might preclude another citizen’s incident!

Your post validates that you lack the ability of critical thinking.

and i commend you, sir in your standing up for your rights.

I my situation, the LE did not asked for my papers, I knew that while on WMC land i had to have a CHP in compliance with the law and volunteer to show my papers to diffused further escalation and loss of my income.

No it is not, sir....my dishwashing skill only allow me to cap my critical thinking up to elemetary school level, as such, i would be welcoming for your wisdoms and insight.s.

You haven't listened to my wisdom and insight up to this point; why should I believe you are willing to start now? Saying and doing are two different things.

I dumped Alexa.

Siri is turned off on my watch, phone, and tablet.

If I want to use voice commands, I must press a button. I know that is a lot of effort, but...

I know this article is old, but the practice still have not stopped but increased 10 folds and is evolving as technology advance.

I do not see how any of these intrusive technologies will deter Mass Shooting? Wouldn't it be cheaper and better in the long run to invest the $$ in helping the MH individual and stop the "dog chasing its tail" methods being used now?
