Alabama firearms retailers of ATF’s announcement that the state's retailers may no longer accept CCPs (concealed carry permits) as a Brady Act alternative to conducting an FBI NICS check for firearms purchases or transfers...

All because some of our sheriffs, all of whom are members of the Alabama Sheriffs' Association, could not be bothered to conduct background checks for pistol permits. Keep in mind that ASA has been the major lobbyist against constitutional carry here in Alabama. I've always thought that our state motto should be changed to, "We have the best politicians money can buy!" Problem is that most of them won't stay bought!😁
