Reminder - reserve rooms now for this month's GRPC 2006 if you are going

The dates are 21-24 September 2004 for the Gun Rights Policy Conference in Charlotte, NC at the Marriott Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel. See
http://saf.org/default.asp?p=GRPCfor more info and **free registration** which entitles you to what the sponsors say is about $125 of free materials. When registering, the webform asks you what you would like to see covered – make sure you say you want to hear about the latest in open carry rights across the US!

OCDO’s John and Mike are going to the GRPC to plug OpenCarry.org at the conference, and hopefully we will have a **strong OCDO contingent** this year - these conferences are always interesting.

OCDO will hold a reception on Saturday evening (23 SEP) in the OpenCarry.org Executive Suite during the conference for an interesting fellowship opportunity - **family friendly only** of course

NC is an open carry state – but there is a flat ban on any gun carry in establishments licensed to serve alcohol so be careful navigating your way around the hotel as you might end up in a no-gun alcohol flowing zone without trying!

Make room reservations now at
http://marriott.com/property/propertypage/cltbr- a discounted conference room rate of $99/night was advertised by sponsors - Mike found that the best non-rate for this weekend right now is$109/night BUT, thata rate of $81/night can be obtained with a military discount (retirees included). All the rooms are suites; some rooms of larger sizes can be reserved which might better accommodate families attending at this hotel with lots of amenities, including a fitness center withcardiovascular equipment, free weights, indoor pool, whirlpool, & dry sauna.

Bring the family and kids if you want - they can hang by the pool while you get snmarter on gun rights issues.

And don't forget to order your OCDO leisure apparel to wear at the conference!
