OK, I have to admit being slightly nervous after exiting Advanced Auto Parts today and saw 2 police cars right outside the door calling out at the dozen people standing out front, including my 2 daughters and I, asking if any of us had heard gunshots. I was 15 feet from the officer who asked with weapon in plain view since I was carrying parts in my 2 hands. I momentarily considered turning or doing something to make my weapon less visible but I just stood stock still and shook my head "No" as everyone else answered out loud, "No". I am sure he looked straight at my face and weapon for a few seconds, then he pulled away followed by the second police car. Some of the customers and one store employee, who see me regularly and are interested in OC, never made a statement or asked a question about my weapon.
It was very strange. I was sure that the excited officers were going to "lock" on me and that I was about to have an unhappy story to share. Funny that LMTD commented earlier on lack of visibility, even when OCing.
Maybe he didn't see. Maybe he didn't care. Worked out either way...
