1st post here as i just discovered this forum. I have an interesting question(maybe not for some)

I am not fully versed on the laws, but can i REALISTICALLY OC while riding my motorcycle? I ride backroads and interstate alike, and find the OC vs."Going Armed to the Terror of the People" are way to hard to seperate sometimes. Anybody have any experience with this?

You should be cool I rode up to Havelock and back on my bike 100 mile round trip for a USPSA match and while I got some looks I didn't get felony stopped or anything LOL.

If you look just to the right of my left leg you will see the barrel of my AR sticking out. I've also rode a few times with the Springfield or the Glock strapped to my hip but not often. Falling on to the nice hard pavement with a big hunk of plastic and metal strapped to my hip isn't something I look forward to doing. I'm also looking at ways to put my AR on the bike and not on me.

Now that's something that would really get attention! How about it, anyone else up for an open carry motorcycle ride?

I'll bring my 450 rebel and my new firestorm mini-9, if I can find a good holster for it.

Can you just imagine a group of bikes rolling down the highway, with every rider open carrying...the poor liberals would pee their pants. I wonder if we would be held responsible for all the accidents caused by people running off the road while rubber-necking....lol.

I've been giving some thought as to how I'll carry when the weather gets warmer and the bike comes out of the garage again. I still haven't decided on the best holster option.

This could give a whole new meaning to "Loud pipes save lives" ...lmao

That would be fine to lock it up but I'll bet your gun will get the crap beat out of it from road vibration if you ride with it in that holster.

You can also carry in a tank or saddle bag if it would be more comftrable. I figure any situation I get into on the bike I can ride away from it without pulling a firearm.
thats cool and all, but isnt that concealed? i dont have a concealed permit........

Depending on what kind of bike you ride (I ride a Bonneville) a thigh rig may be a good option for you. It's quite accessible from the riding position. Of course once I got where I was going I would want it on my hip.
