Maybe it's because I'm new to Washington, but...... huh?

We do an OC camp out at Wenatchee Confluence State Park every year in May and today was the first day anyone could make reservations for arrival Wed May 14th. The camp out officially starts on the 15th but some of us go early and stay late. Its fun to show up early, put out the OC banner and meet the non OC campers.

Why do we always have to go so far? That's $200 just for gas.
Wenatchee Confluence State Park, Wenatchee, WA
When I first started the camp-out, I was going to have it at Moses Lake. No one in that area wanted to plan it, so I took the ball and ran with it.
The reason I picked Wenatchee is because it is the most centered in the state for all to attend. Now, if I had picked the coast or nearby, the people from the Spokane or Yakima area would pay more than $200 for gas. BUT, the real reason it is in Wenatchee is because I planned it, and all like the place.
I hope that answers the location question. Next! Jeff? Ah, the food. Good point! Everyone bring some to share and we will eat it! Usually some of the ladies get together and plan the meals.
Next! Bill?Good input! Firewood is always something good to bring. Important item!
O.K. Last question. Jim? Right! Gogodawgs will be in charge of the entertainment. What? Well, get with him and ask him if you can sing this time.

This is gonna be FUN! AGAIN! I sure Walt doesn't streak again!

My Jetta TDI can make it from Lacey to WCSP on less than $20 of diesel ;)

I'll ask my wife if she's interested in planning a trip that far out. If she is, or doesn't mind me going alone, I'll reserve tomorrow. Is the outer ring better than the inner ring? Maybe due to additional space on either side and closer to the water?

having trouble with them accepting my Disabled Veteran Pass. Looks like I have to call in the morning. Looking at spot 12, if it's to be had.

edit: all resolved I got spot 12.
(If anyone else has a new disabled pass, drop the 2013 from the pass number)

You may be able to double up with someone if you are tent camping and only pay the additional car fee and or half of the site. For example Bookman usually shares my spot. Deros and Gogodawgs share a spot. The only catch is it has to be an RV and a tent combo.

I can bring a bunch of firewood as usual.

Lets do the food like we used to do it, everyone bring some and we can share or people can eat on their own how ever they want. there is no shortage of good food in this group we have had every thing from Chili to File Gumbo, slow cooked rib roast, chickens, burgers, Barbs pulled pork YUM, A's waffles. No one goes away hungry from this trip.

The girls can get together later and do some rough food planning but I kinda liked eating file gumbo, chili and a dog all in the same meal.

Just secured #10, same as last year.

Hopefully Andrew and I will be there from the 15th thru Sunday if I can pull him out of school for a day, looking forward to it and seeing everyone again.

Tenters always welcome to use the spot:)
