Esther Short Park on Tuesday June 17th. at 11:30 AM This is in response to the Million Mom March event happening that day.

I know... "it's a Tuesday," I know some of you have to work but I also know that we can't let these MOMs group have all the glory. This is NOT just an Open Carry event it will also have other pro-gun groups attending. Rick Halle from Vancouver will be heading this up from his end. Just like in years past we will be having a BBQ potluck at the park. I'll be bringing folding tables, OC Banner & any fliers I have on hand.

More info to follow as it comes available.......

<edit>
I have a Suburban that seats 8 and would be willing to accommodate a few folks from the Puget Sound area that wants to make this event.

currently-
8 seats - 3 spoken for (includes driver)

Thanks Bill, let's show them that we take attacks on our inherent rights very seriously. Everyone please keep in mind though that this will be a peaceful counter protest. Signs would be appropriate however we are not looking to get into any fights with the MOMs group. On the contrary let's show them responsible gun owners that choose not to be victims which is what their agenda would make us. If they try to create a conflict (they very well might) then we need to be bigger than that and refuse to be sucked into it.

I actually have Mon/Tues off usually. I might have to make a road trip, and I have a good friend in OR that might be able to come up. If I can make it I have a table, and pop-up I can bring too.

I know it's a Tuesday but come on...... These folks are going to be riled up even more due to the Seattle Shooting. We need OC'ers for this event.

If this event was next month I would be attending, but its a good drive from Boise. Hope it goes well and with lots of attendees.

VANCOUVER – A gun control group and a pro gun group camped out within feet of one another in Esther Short Park Tuesday.
While the two groups appear to be on opposite sides of the gun debate, they both agree it's important for parents to talk about whether there is a gun in their home or not.
