Not anybody find it troublesome youth in Flordia witnessed, taunted, and laughed, while recordng a man who was struggling to survive and live but yet these teens didn't even raise the call, and watched him succumb in the pond.

Oh, there is nothing they can be charged with.

These parents should be extremely proud of their offspring as well on the teens prowlness on recording and receiving such attention from social media, all the wile without being held accountable nor apparently remorse.

Yes, folks, keep whining about 'proper' usage, spelling errors, or, or, or

Saw a report on the local news tonight that they all were going to get a misdemeanor charge. Failure to report a death. If that gets them in front of a judge I suspect he/she will not be nice to them.

Linked below is similar story from another outlet.

I personally feel they should be well spanked. Along with the parents for failure to properly raise the kids. <--- moral duties.

Realistically, not much can or should be done. <--- legal obligations.

Teens Who Recorded Man Drowning Could Now Face Charges
By Chris Best Published: July 21, 2017, 11:10 am Updated: July 21, 2017, 4:59 pm

UPDATE:

COCOA, Fla. (AP) – Authorities in Florida say a group of teens who watched, laughed and made a video as a man drowned in a retention pond can be charged with failure to report a death. Cocoa Mayor Henry Parrish III says the misdemeanor charge is at least a start in the July 9 drowning death of 31-year-old Jamel Dunn because they can’t be charged with failing to rescue the man.

A totally despicable horrible display of human cruelty. They all display symptoms of (ASPD),, they are psychopaths..

They should all be sent away for treatment/punishment..

While there should be no law requiring someone to jump in a lake to save someone, there ought to be a law that states if you are witnessing someone drowning--for example--you must call 911.

These young folks are a product of their parents.

A LAW? Are you kidding me? What if you don't have a phone, or a phone with you? What if you are on the way to your own emergency? A law. Right, like we need more laws. It would be a way of forcing people to get on record and be involved in something that they may not want to be embroiled. A suggestion, fine. But let's not create new laws to be used improperly.

This person's drowning was a tragedy and it's in poor taste and reprehensible to mock someone but to make it a -crime-? Come on.

Holy crap do I have to give a disclaimer for the obvious. If you don't have a phone then the only conclusion can be you won't be capable of dialing 911.

I should point out the kids had a phone. And there was no personal emergency...other than they appeared to have run out of blunts.

I agree 100%. We need less laws, not more.

while i know doogie howser came from Abq and doogie.jpg while wasn't a medical examiner and therefore FL's 406.12 wouldn't apply to him or the teens who watched and recorded the man who drowned.

We don't need more laws, I agree..

What we need is more folks of all ages to have more morals and courage and to try and love their fellow man...

" The Golden rule comes to mind"..

" Honor is something every man is born with it cannot be bestowed, we must not let it be taken"..

Sadly those young folks that failed to make a simple call to help a fellow human being lost all their honor, i pray that someday they do something good in their life so as to restore their lost honor... I suppose that living with themselves will be their punishment..

CCJ...the youth lack the insight so have nothing to which their moral compass would show that they did anything amiss.
