NJ: Cops Confiscate Stabbing Victim Firearms and Powder

Just when you thought it could not get any worse in New Jersey for gun ownership comes word of a man who was stabbed by his wife in Saddle Brook New Jersey. The cops ended up confiscating the man's firearms and breaks open his safe. The cops also confiscated his gun powder and now it looks like he will be charged.

Who decides what amount of gun powder is illegal? The article says it looks like more than 30 pounds. Remember that the man is the victim here and he could be charged for having a legal product.

"The sheer amount of gunpowder was illegal and could pose a danger to the neighborhood, the chief said. Charges were expected stemming from the quantity of gunpowder. "

They threw the man's rifles into garbage cans! Read that again.

"A Bergen County Sheriff’s Department officer brought several garbage cans to collect what appeared to be mostly long guns."

If the man gets a defense fund going, I will post it.

Why do people still consider NY, NJ, CT, CA and a few others to be part of this country, I don't.

I'm an American stuck behind enemy lines in CT. I do not submit to illegal laws and illegal orders.

I'm not moving .... the commies will be moved out

I read on another forum that Louis Nappen will be the man's lawyer. He is brother of Evan Nappan the famous pro-gun attorney.

While I am usually unsure of what tone you intend for your posts, I agree with the sentiment here: an unjust laws is no law at all, and this country must be taken back to its former ideals.

I hope for nothing less than an out-of-pocket payment for the damages incurred to this man's property; from the man who wrote the warrant, the judge who signed it, and the officers who carried it out. They are no allies of the People.

It will take a young man in good health to enjoy the outcome of this - suspect we shall all be considerably older when the dust finally settles.

The victim is stabbed in the neck, then victims property is damaged and stolen, then our victim is charged with a crime...

Since the weapon used against our victim was a knife, did the police remove all the knives from the property?

This is outrageous! Only in NJ can a victim of a crime become a victim of a crime... From LE

Cops say it is, or may be, illegal and most folks stop reading/thinking past that point.
