So your words or a written contract means nothing?

To put laws in place is not to condone those actions.

Hey, a sucker is born every minute

You missed my point entirely.

A law, on a piece of paper means nothing except to those who willingly obey it.

We have laws against murder etc. Seen any stopped by the laws against them. No.

A person's signature on a contract is, an entirely different matter but you know that already.

i get your point, i really do......but at the same time, without laws, murders will be an everyday norm.

With good sensible laws, it make the perpetrator think twice before committing a murder in the heat of the moment, of course laws may not stop someone already have their mind set.

MR. and MRS. LAMB

Murder, Rape, Manslaughter, Robbery, Sodomy, Larceny, Arson, Mayhem, Burglary

Murder, Rape, Manslaughter, Robbery, Sodomy, Larceny, Arson, Mayhem and Burglary are the only common law crimes, true felonies under the constitution. All other felonies are statutory (man made) and are not true felonies.

The Constitution contains all of these common law principles, but it only mentions three criminal offenses.

1. Treason.
It isn't a surprise that treason is defined in the Constitution, as the Founders likely wanted to know how our fledgling nation would deal with enemies within its borders.
Article III Section 3 defines treason as: Levying war against the United States, Adhering to the nation's enemies, or Giving our nation's enemies aid and comfort.
The federal statute defining treason is almost a mirror image of this definition, and it is one of the few crimes for which a defendant may "suffer death."

2. Piracy.
While the Founders weren't prescient enough to anticipate Napster, Congress is empowered under Article I Section 8 of the Constitution to "define and punish Piracies and Felonies committed on the high Seas."
Congress did create a law to punish piracy. So anyone caught robbing American mariners on the high seas in Johnny Depp eyeliner can potentially face life in prison.

3. Counterfeiting.
Article I Section 8 of the Constitution also endows Congress with the ability to punish those who counterfeit "the Securities and current Coin of the United States."
The Secret Service, along with protecting U.S. heads of state, is also charged with protecting the integrity of the nation's currency by investigating and arresting counterfeiters.
Counterfeiting of U.S. currency today is almost always in paper bills, but it is no less illegal.

What About Murder or Robbery?
The Constitution only contains direct references to the three crimes mentioned above, but it leaves the vast array of violent and theft crimes unmentioned.

There are federal laws against murder and robbery of course, and these laws have been justified under the Necessary and Proper Clause of the Constitution, as well as the Commerce Clause.

Now, what about the states?

i beg to differ, sir

What about the law to keep and bear arms? none the less, even with those 3 laws, laws are designed to prevent and punished

The RTKABA wasn't granted by the 2A or the founders. It's simply a preexisting right the founders plainly stated was not to be interfered with.

So the Laws of this land means nothing?

Only to those who will willingly abide then and the few who actually get caught for breaking them.

To everyone else no the mean nothing.
And they prevent nothing.
They are for the most part simply gov attempts at revenue collection, or control of the people to the greatest extent they will tolerate.

But it's still a law that we are fighting for now to keep, right? otherwise, we would be another NZ

It's, not a law. It's a right that predated this nation or it's laws.
It's a right. It was a right before King George was born.
It was, a, right before we were a nation.

It'll still be a right when this nation collapses.

One caveat. I don't believe this nation will collapse. I believe the Constitution will remain intact, but with clarifying revisions.

I hope your right. Historically few nations haven't. And none that I'm aware of without violent upheavals that changed everything.

Alas, the preposition this great nation’s guiding documents will probably be clarified/revisions affected to remain intact ONLY IF this country's legislative branch who were chartered by the founding fathers to guide this country function appropriately!

Isn't the 3% going to ensure the founding fathers visions remain intact?

...and, without gun permits, blood will be flowing in the street....or, with allowing people to carry a gat outside the home, blood will be flowing in the streets...or, if we allow average folks to own guns at all, blood will be flowing in the streets.

Government exists, in my view, to mediate "differences of opinion" when two citizens feel there rights have been violated by "that other fella." This is how government should be used, to prevent, where possible, violent resolution schemes between two citizens who disagree on any givent topic. Us regular folk should not be interacting government officials without our invitation extended to a government official.
