Just was wondering what you folks think will happen after you get CC. Do you think it will change OC one way or another? I myself hope that OC will continue to grow in numbers.

I would like to think that OC will remain as active as it is today. Sure, it'll probably fade for a while as people try out the new CC, but I'm betting quite a few will go back to OC...at least at times.

Personally, for me, it's a crapshoot that'll depend on circumstances, but, I'm betting most of the time I'll still OC, I just won't care if my shirt/jacket covers the grips/holster of my firearm, I've heard it called "casual carry", where the carrier isn't making a particular effort to either CC or OC.

I think one of the biggest things we need to do as OCers is to remain advocates and examples of how people should behave. I've heard of trash pickups along the road while carrying, I had the pleasure of participating in a fund raiser for the Special Olympics a while back, and even the meet ups at Lizzy's/Starbucks/etc help get people used to the idea of armed individuals, and of firearms in particular...all of which helps defeat the public image that we're all psychopaths/sociopaths just waiting to shoot the first person that ticks us off.

Oc will remain pretty popular with me during the summer. Over the winter, if my coats going on, it'll be cc. The exception would be bigger crowds, I might choose to cc in that case. :)

Casual Carry - that's about how I feel too. Maybe "casual Friday" will take on a new meaning.

Right on, Wolf, right on.

I will also OC as I have always done. Only difference as already mentioned, I will not be concerned if a shirt or jacket inadvertantly covers my sidearm. I am also thinking concealed during winter and heavy rain will come in real handy.

On a side note I have heard tell of people that carry a BUG (Back Up Gun). I did purchase a sub-compact Glock 27 for if I ever need or choose to conceal carry, so I am considering the Glock 27 as a concealed BUG with the the XD-40 open carry as always.

Edited to add: I also like the concept and the term "Casual Carry"

I've ordered a cc purse, so if I choose to cc, or if whatever I'm wearing isn't conducive to a holster, I'll be able to carry in style.
(Not that it's particularly 'stylish', mind you... just a turn of phrase.)
And of course, it will be useful for those places that people might be uncomfortable seeing a pistol, or for places like a college that has a campus policy against 'weapons', but might not actually get around to reading the law & posting properly.
(And believe me, I'll be checking every door of every building I go into.)
Besides, as others have pointed out, even if they post I could still cc a tazer.
If I had one.
Which I wouldn't, of course, not now, since they're illegal for now.

I was considering one of the baby Glocks as a next purchase, 26 or 27 whichever is the 9mm, since that's what the rest of my collection is.

The 26 would be the 9mm as I got the 27 (.40 Cal.) for the same reason you mention... matches my full sixe XD-40 (also .40 Cal.)...

Handy Chart....under "Models" (left side of page)....

Good to know. Growing up in Illinois and living in NC now where unlicenced OC is lawful, I cc in winter and OC in warmer months. I just believe unlicenced OC is the epitimy of freedom. (check spelling). I wouldnt think someone would just stop OC when they get their CC permit.

I will mostly OC. Car carry is more useful if you have unobstructed access to your firearm. The exceptions are when I suspect a business is not OC friendly. Now is not the time to be brash and rude. We could easily just make things worse. OC just because you "can" has outlived its usefulness and effectiveness. Out of sight is out of mind.
