Yeah, I know this the "open carry" forum but for those interested:

Nevada recognizes Arizona CCW permits again.

Effective June 17, 2015 Nevada began recognizing CCW permits issued by Arizona.

This came about from two bills, SB 175 and AB 488, recently passed by the Nevada legislature and signed into law by Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval.

SB 175 requires the Nevada Department of Public Safety to determine if states issuing CCW permits require training in addition to having an accessible database to determine CCW Permit validity. Arizona meets both requirements.

AB 488 amended the law further to remove the Nevada Sheriffs and Chiefs Association from the permit recognition decision making process. Sole authority now rests with the Nevada DPS.

Per the new law, DPS will conduct their review annually, prior to July 1.

Sometimes I think it's just like grade school. States pick their friends and exclude the others. Texas even stopped requiring a state to recognize their license before recognizing another state's license or permit. We began recognizing NV licenses unilaterally in 2005.
I'll be there later this week and will be OC.

Yeah TX seems to recognize every other states' including NV. It's a shame it doesn't work the other way around. Unfortunately it looks like I'll have to wait till thanksgiving week before I can make it back out to NV but I do enjoy the drive through NM and AZ, OC'ing all the way!
