Negative OC Experiences in AZ?

It seems like most of the board's activity occurs on the VA page. Does anyone have any negative OC experiences in AZ? Being a Gold Star OC state, I wouldn't expect many but I'm sure some have had run ins with folks visiting from anti-gun states or anti-gun business owners. Just want to initiate a discussion.
I have not had any negative experiences myself yet in the Phoenix area, other than curious glances from younger people.

I get some looks when I OC in say Sedona. But then again Sedona has been taken over by the nuts from CA and the East Cost. Guess with them it is to be expected

The ONLY negative encounter I've had was open carrying in theSams Club in Bullhead City. I open carried several times in there but one day as I was leaving I was standing by the exit door grinding some coffee beans when I noticed this sheepish little door-monitor employee give me a scared look and dart behind some stacked merchandise with his walkie talkie to his ear. Moments later the store manager approached me and informed me that Sams had a "store policy" against open carrying. I tried to politely engage him in a conversation about this - stating he had no posted sign to that effect, etc. but he insisted it was a "new" policy because it "scared" people. As I was leaving he sarcastically stated - "but I can't do anything about it if you carry concealed in here." To this day there is still no sign.Neither do they provide an area to check your weapons as the law states they should if they deny OC'ing.I alerted the AZCDL.

I spent the next week making phone calls to various district offices and got the royal run around. My conclusion was that the manager was just being a jerk and had his own hang-up about open carry in his store.

Bullhead City is also being inundated with "foreigners" from California which dilutes out the AZ population.

It's too bad, really. I carry open in Bullhead all the time - and have never encountered any other negativity.

Howdy John! I sure wish all the "negative" encounter stories turned out like your's did!

I was leaving Wally World one evening, walking to my Jeep and I noticed a lady grab her two kids and pull them, cowering beside their car. Yep! You guessed it! California license plate!

I just tipped my cowboy hat and kept walking.

Nice shot at the range BTW.
