Military recruiter killed in Ark shooting 6 hours ago
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — One Army recruiter was killed Monday and a second was wounded in a shooting at a recruiting office, and a suspect was arrested, police said.
Police Lt. Terry Hastings said the recruiter was shot when a man in a black SUV opened fire on the office in west Little Rock at about 10:30 a.m.
The vehicle was stopped on Interstate 630 a short time later and a suspect was taken into custody. Hastings said the suspect pulled over and surrendered without incident.
Police said they found an assault rifle in the vehicle.
Hastings said he did not know whether the recruiting office was specifically targeted or was randomly chosen.
Hastings said shortly after noon that investigators had not yet questioned the suspect and that police were still processing evidence from the crime scene.
As a precaution, police also called in a bomb squad because there were packages in the SUV. Hastings said a robot would open the packages.
Authorities did not immediately identify either the victims or the suspect.

Can't say I'm surprised.

Army recruiter killed in Ark.; Muslim convert held

One Army recruiter died and another was injured when a Muslim convert who said he was opposed to the U.S. military shot the soldiers in Little Rock, Ark., police say.
Carlos Bledsoe, 24, of Little Rock, who was known as Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad, was arrested on I-630 shortly after the soldiers were shot outside a recruiting office about 10:30 a.m. CT, police said. An assault rifle was recovered.
"This individual appears to have been upset with the military, the Army in particular, and that's why he did what he did," Little Rock Police Lt. Terry Hastings said in a phone interview with USA TODAY. "He has converted to Muslim here in the past few years. To be honest we're not completely clear on what he was upset about. He had never been in the military."
The names of the soldiers have not been released.
The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette has a photo of police searching the suspect's pickup truck.

Wow, you've really bitten the MSM toutedDHS 'homegrown terrorists' propaganda parlance, hook, line and sinker.

:(

People are murdered everyday in America, by various means. We used to call that 'violent crime', not 'terrorism'. The term 'terrorism' implies a political motive behind the act. Otherwise, it's not 'terrorism', just murder.

Whydon'twe label all violent crimes as 'TERRORISM', and have done with it? That way, we can ship all such offenders to an off-shore gulag, and save the taxpayers the expense of a trial.

(I do hope you understand that last paragraph was pure sarcasm.)

I just find it sickening as a 13 year and still serving Army Officer that B.O. and AG Holder did not even bat an eye for a murdered soldier. Where is the recruiting station's security.

But oh yeah we are potential extremist. Why would the Dept. of Homeland security help there enemy. Also the soldier killed was a Private that just completed training and was home assisting recruiters in talking to High School students. He never saw a day of combat.

He deserves full honors, The Administration just proved by not taking appropriate action that they do not t care about you, me, or our families, unless we fall under one of there interest groups. From the DHS assessment to this, this also shows a hatred of our armed forces.

He is a Casualty of the War on Terror.

PFC.(promotion) William Long. My fallen brother in arms I salute you. May the Lord keep you.

There is a difference between a violent crime like one killing over possessions vs terrorism.

Terrorism often policy or ideological in nature. Muslim killing a military recruiter on our own soil which appears to be ideology based is terrorism.

Why is the dirtbag Obama not condemming this terrorist act of jihadi by a muslim dirtbag??? The religion of peace strikes again.

This particular horror has every indication that it was another act of murderous terrorism by a homegrown butthead who may have even tripped over to Yemen for training.

However, there is no reason for intolerant language. This guy is no muslim:his actions show that he doesn't know what it means to be one.

I thought Jonesy was referring to the Obamination as the Muslim Dirt bag. :D

For the record though, the Obamination's Madrassa was in Indonesia, not Yemen.;)

As a US citizen, the suspect is entitled to full constitutional protections. That said, he is also eligible to be tried for treason (though I doubt that will happen) for waging war on the USA. Which is exactly what he claims he wanted to do:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,525584,00.html

Excerpt:

"U.S. soldiers are killing innocent Muslim men and women. We believe that we have to strike back. We believe in eye for an eye. We don't believe in turning the other cheek," he said.
Asked whether he considered the shootings at the recruiting center an act of war, Muhammad said "I didn't know the soldiers personally, but yes, it was an attack of retaliation. And I feel that other attacks, not by me or people I know, but definitely Muslims in this country and others elsewhere, are going to attack for doing those things they did," especially desecrating the Quran.
