The following was posted on the Utah Open Carry forum (credit: utahbagpiper). Mia Love was a speaker at the Republican National Convention. She is a black Republican Utah Mayor (Springville, UT) who is running against a Democratic incumbent.

A short, but positive snippet about OCing. From the DesNew's RNC convention coverage.

Excerpt:

At a cell phone store, Love said she spotted a man openly carrying a gun in a holster and couldn’t stop staring.

“He said, ‘Does this make you uncomfortable?’ I said, ‘No.’ And I said, ‘Is that a Glock?’ And he said yes. A 26? And he said yes. A 9mm? He said yes. And I said, ‘Great gun for a woman. That’s exactly what I carry.’ That’s why this is home.”

A few delegates gasped and others chuckled before all of them clapped loudly.

-----------------------------------

This is proof that folks from Utah love their guns. This story might be a good one to pass on to Wisconsin politicians.

Recognition demonstrates knowledge - duplication is the sincerest form of flattery.

The lady has made an excellent start.

Actually I think she is the mayor of Saratoga Springs. Same county but different city!

That line gets me, why should the so called Republicans, staunch defenders of the 2nd, be astonished at that exchange. Lip service gun defenders for the most part and barely a step ahead of the delegates that will be at the Democratic rubber stamp convention. Thank God for people like her in the party or they would all be phoneys and not just most of them.
