Oddly the Salt Lake City marathon went off without incident yesterday, despite the presence of this gunman.

We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. Puh-leeze! Tell me he can do anything but stare at pink-chested lady's chest from that position within the crowd.
If he were a "guard dog" he would be watching the edges of the flock, not staring at pink-chested lady's chest.
If he were a guard dog located in the middle of the flock he would be swiveling his head to see stuff besides pink-chested lady's chest.
And if he were a guard dog located in the middle of the flock and some BG nutcase tear-wrist did do something, how much use could he get from that oh-so-conveniently mounted handgun?
If anything, you ought to be commenting on the herd's acceptance of him as a non-threat. My old eyes cannot see any markings making him obvious as police/security/valet parking.

I though that photo was pretty cool until I saw the mall-ninja captions some idiot put on it.
That kind of attitude makes us look so... dumb. It's not beneficial to the cause.
You wanna win people over? Don't act smug and superior. Tell them that they can be a "sheepdog" too – only then, of course, the "sheepdog" metaphor makes no sense, which is why it's dumb in the first place. :banghead:
This debate is as old as the hills, but that pic drove home how incredibly brainless the "sheepdog" metaphor really is.
We need armed citizens – not smug protector-wannabes.

Check out the boundary between the green shirt behind him and his black shirt. See the "bleed"? Also note the similarity in the noise on him to the noise on the rest of the image.
That stuff takes a trained eye to fake. And time.
