Live in TN and have TN HCP: any need for a UT permit?

I got my UT permit several years ago when I lived in AL. Then it was a good idea given the number of states that would not recognize the AL permit. Now, I live in TN and have my TN HCP (or whatever it's called). My UT permit is expiring this month.

Is there any good reason to renew my UT permit?

Thanks,

recognition

a TN handgun permit is recognized by 40 states. A Utah non resident permit is only recognized by 30 I believe. It would be safe to assume, your TN permit is the better option to keep. That is my humble opinion of course

Only if there is a State you visit that recognizes the Utah permit but doesn't recognize your TN permit.

If that is the case, and with your home-State permit in hand, renewal of the Utah permit is very inexpensive and easy. But it is more than zero.

To follow-up: Since it was only $10 (or $15), I went ahead and renewed it for another 5 years.
