OC'd last Sunday in Clio at:

Taco Bell where nothing happened...

and

Wal Mart where a gentleman stopped to talk with me in the parking lot expressing his approval of my openly carrying a sidearm. We had a nice discussion about guns and such before going our separate ways.

Open carried in Clio Wal-Mart ? You have a CPL ?
I don't so I was just wondering.

Yes, I have a CPL and a CPL is necessary to carry openly or concealed in the Clio Wal Mart due to their liquor license.

Open carried yesterday at Big Boy in Bridgeport for lunch. No one cared.

@ Bike nut - you need to move out to the land of son & guns Sir. ;) We don't need no stinking permits. [emoji14] (they're nice for travel & gun purchases though). ;)

On topic it was sunny and 78℉ on my late afternoon OC walk with the dog along the boundary of the scenic sonoran desert ...

I'm on my way!!!

I wish.

On topic:
OC'd at Wal Mart today and a bearded gentleman just couldn't take his eyes off my sidearm.

Then I OC'd at Williams Gunsmithing to buy a .22 rifle that will be a gift to my youngest grandson. Already bought .22 rifles for my twin grandsons a few years ago so I had to make sure I didn't play favorites.

So.....

Had a seriously detrimental experience at Joe Louis Arena tonight. Firstly, the place is a weapons free zone, even though its owned by the City of Detroit. So I OC'd an empty holster. The Old Geezer security goon wasn't too happy that I had it but couldn't make me take it off. He ALSO tried to confiscate my 3" folding Kershaw pocket knife, saying I had to either put it back in my car or they would take it and destroy it. After several minutes of discussion, an unwavering supervisor and refusal to "check it" like to do other parcels and bags that people bring in that are prohibited, I returned it to my car. Oh, did I mention that the security goon had Federal goon backup? Going in the west entrance of the Joe, the metal detectors are backed up by an ICE agent, in BDUs and carrying... wait for it..... A SIDEARM!

Go figure.

The trick to enforcing preemption in Detroit is showing up in very large numbers who aren't afraid of intimidation tactics. Their cops are often vicious felon thugs and will not back down unless forced to. This is usually difficult, because when the specifics of the situation are brought up and help is requested, outsiders to Detroit including almost always every pro gun organization in Michigan can be counted on to ignore you. It's just not convenient how racially slanted the situation often is, and how the Uncle Tom NRA puppet of a chief allows these abuses consistently, so people stay out of it or outright deny it's even happening.

Speaking of Arizona, I am heading to the gun Mecca known as Prescott today to visit an old friend. Yes, there will be OCing. :)

Voted this morning. Several folks saw my openly carried sidearm and there wasn't any fuss what so ever.... exactly as it should be.

Voted while OCing, no issues and a surprising thumbs up from an elderly couple who commented if Hillary gets elected we will all need to start carrying guns where every we go. I laughed and replied I already do that :)

Carried my trusty sidearm into Kalamazoo's 13th (St. Joe Catholic Church) and filled out my ballot. No questions, no comments, no dirty looks even.

One double take while voting this morning and OC'ing, no other reaction whatsoever...

I must admit though, that almost everyone there knows me, knows I carry openly everywhere, so I think more would have been said if I WASN'T carrying!!

OC'd today in Clio at Taco Bell and Wal Mart. No issues, no problems, no big deal just like always. The guy in front of me at Taco Bell was a bit surprised and grateful to discover I paid for his lunch.
