So...Today I pull into a convenience store in Alma just as the Chief of Police pulls his nice black shiny new Dodge Charger RT into a parking spot near by. I pull out my shiny full size 1911 out of the case in plain view of said officer, load a mag, rack the slide and holster it. He looks over at me, smiles and waves, says; "your lights are on." Continues on into the store.

I liked that.

You are lucky I missed my keyboard. I was expecting something bad. I started laughing so hard.

I know what that's like in my county, but I don't know if I would expect that YOUR county. Yah, it's YOUR county. :D

You shouldn't leave your headlights on! That'll drain your battery. Good thing the officer was there to let you know so you didn't get stuck. :D:banana:

That's pretty much the way it should go.
You're not doing anything wrong, the Nice Officer is friendly & helpful.

After the burglary, I sent a nice letter to Chief Flynn commending the officer who came to my house for his calm almost non-reaction to my being armed.
("Is that a pistol?" Yes. "Oh. Just making sure.")

Lights...

If you have a new(er) Charger then the lights shouldn't matter. They should have Auto-Off...

Was there something else going on..??
