Here's what he wrote, according to the link:

Guth has faced heavy scrutiny following his tweet Monday, in which he wrote: “#NavyYardShooting The blood is on the hands of the #NRA. Next time, let it be YOUR sons and daughters. Shame on you. May God damn you.”

I don't see this as a threat .... nor a wish for children of the NRA to die

Not the nicest post I have seen, but I have seen worse too....welcome to America !

Don't agree

I don’t agree with your assessment

“Next time let it be YOUR sons & daughters” He put YOUR in all caps!

The reason I think he wants NRA members children killed is then we would finally understand? Well if he didn’t say “May God damn you” and put YOUR in all caps then I might think he didn’t wish any harm.

Finally they gave him a chance to retract his statement or change it a little so as not to be so harsh. He double down and was defiant and said he completely stands by his comments

I agree I don’t think he is a physical threat to anyone. But I do believe he does want NRA children shot or killed to prove a point!

He has lost his moral authority to teach. What if he finds out a student is pro-gun? Or belongs to the NRA? Or the students have pro-gun parent? This professor brought this all on himself.

If he would of just said I apologize it was in the heat of the moment and here is what I really meant and explained it in a differ way. We would of all forgiven him. All of us have made this mistake but no he’s incredulous!

He wants certain children to experience violence or death.

I stand by my thread and post.

I respect your opinion.

Don't people here say that congressmen's kids should go off to fight wars (hinting on being killed)....

I took the posting, in the most favorable light to the poster, as being a political statement.

One could look at it, least favorably to the poster, as being suggestive of a hope that NRA kids get killed...like to teach pro-gunners a lesson...

But I only do least favorably views upon public official's statements .. and a handful of others who have had a history of being anti

I want my $.03 back

This contemptible thief stole $90,139.92 from the citizens of the state of Kansas last year. Now he is happy to be on paid administrative leave, because he feels threatened by the comments of others. Part of his job as an employee of the state is to uphold and defend the Constitution of Kansas, and all of it's laws. His failure to do so, in my opinion, voids his contract with the state, which is us, we the people. This joke of an educator taught ethics in journalism, and this is the way he behaves with my money? Run this guy out on a rail. I might have agreed to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he didn't apologize when given the chance, he doubled down. I say we show him the cards and show that he lost his bet.
