• We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. It will be worth it! :) Please help by posting all issues here.
  • The forum will be down for about an hour this weekend for maintenance. I apologize for the inconvenience.

John, please appoint a moderator.

One more thing a moderator could do: Delete spam posts that are designed to interfere with conversations between members.

I've been member several yrs.
The site was a bit over moderated. Enough that it was becoming a rarity to see a post a week.
Except of course when KY legislative session was, in and Gunshot 1 or 2 grabbed the podium explaining how gov works for a few, weeks.

JMO but this thread insults the owner of the site by a member trying to act as a moderator.

One cannot reserve a right he never has, nor exercise authority he was never given. This thread is all about one memeber who I occasionally agree with on some issues trying to do both plus tell the site owner he should sell his site.

The first post in the thread was, out of line. And the poster begged for the responses he's received.

It appears he is trying to interfere with the arguing, which I would rather look at. Almost all the images are 2a related so I am all for some scenery especially if it helps remind the members what this site is about. HP if I mistook your intention I apologize.

Eye95 now that I have angered a friend which was not my intention, it is time for you to back off, and grow a thicker skin. This fiasco is not the fault of just one member. It takes at least two to argue, and when the arguing starts a feeding frenzy usually follows. Adding chum to the frenzy is not productive unless you are looking for it.

I won’t back off as long as trolls hold sway on this site. One has been backing off, so I have not been complaining about him as much. The other is too inane to warrant responses that assign credibility to his stupidity.

However, you are complaining about my posts too!! Don’t you see that as an indication for a need for moderation?

Yes, at one point this site was over-moderated. But it was far healthier and far more used then than it is now. Some moderation, like some government, is necessary. Folks, apart from the lack of people actually killing each other, the Oresteia is on-point here: As long as every individual is responsible for his or her own justice, there will never be justice.

that's the problem with alot of these online forums.......too many keyboard warriors and not enough real life actions......

i bet that when the 2A is gone, online forums will be discussing the legality of owning a water gun

The 2A isn't going anywhere homie.

We see the need for you to be banned.
You demand changes on a site you gave no control over. That it be run the way YOU demand or you'll make a general pain in the caboose of yourself.

That's leaving out the fact that from your first post youve directly and indirectly stated John is not capable of running his own site.

You see Eye95 the more you cry the more they make fun of you. You are not accomplishing anything feeding the frenzy. At this point if moderation comes yes you need to be banned. You seem to lack the self control to know when enough is enough.

I am making NO demands. I am requesting that John either starts moderating or appoints a moderator.

If he does, then I don’t need to react to trolls. If he does not, then it falls on me to call posters out for dishonesty or for ad hominem attacks, since those posts will be there forever.

I have not stated that John is “not capable of running his own site”.

You have either carelessly or deliberately been dishonest about what I have written. Therefore, since your post will almost certainly not be moderated, I will call the dishonesty out.
