How can replies to this thread get so off track so fast?...

Pet political theories.

I vote in the primaries. And respect for rights (all of them, not just the 2A) is a prime motivator in my selection.

Folks who don't like the candidates for either party bear much of the blame for that situation by not voting in the primaries. We have a LOT of good folks (none of them perfectly in tune with me) running for president this time.

Folks, get out and vote for the one who best represents your POV or, excuse me for feeling the need to say this, shut up. I ain't the least bit interested in the political ideas of folks who don't vote.

I can solve the immigration problem.

first, take anyone speaking english as a second language to the border and give them a swift kick in the @$$ on the way out. Second, do the same with any gang members, third, do the same with anyone that cant prove citizenship, fourth, do the same with americans who do not honor freedoms, and finally, give folks a job to sit up on that border wall with a rifle, and let them open up on anyone trying to cross into our side.

I would take that job in a second.

Depends on what the hell "honor freedoms" is supposed to mean. You must be using some broken-English Palinphonics.

Agreed.

Republicans have Mitt, but let's get real here, Mitt is LDS, and will not be voted for by many so-called 'social Conservatives' (Christians).

Exactly why primaries are so important. Mitt is NOT a conservative and he is NOT pro-gun! So far, the best option on the Republican side is Michelle.

*sniggers* Ok. 'Conservative' is rather subjective, don't you think? Next people are going to claim that Mitt is not a Christian, oh, and that Christians can only be Conservatives.

I hope Michelle is put forward from the Republicans. Democrats will have a field day.

You must be in support of stoning, burning at the stake, and condone slavery? If not, you are not a 'true' Christian *shakes finger*.

President Obama will win in 2012. I will most likely not be showing up to the voting booth in 2012.

How can you say you won't vote, period, next year? You don't know who will be on the ticket. While I can understand you're not repeating your mistake with respect to the 'dear leader,' kim il obama, are you categorically saying there is NO ONE you would vote for, and there is NOT ONE Republican you would even consider? I don't like Romney, and he would certainly be a lesser of evils vote--far lesser, but I'm not prepared to cede the nomination to him in June a year and a half before the election. Why are you ceding to "none of the above" without knowing who the 'above' are or could be?

Next year, politically, is a life-time away. I am disheartened by certain things. I will likely vote.

I never stated there is not one Republican I would vote for...I might have, but I don't recall making a statement like that.

Your little Hannity "dear leader" line is worth spit.

At this point I am voting for the Tooth Fairy.

The Jews have a book of "Righteous Gentiles" that would disagree with your definition. Christians--overwhelmingly Protestants, who saved Jews during the Holocaust at the risk of, and often cost of, their lives. (This while the Pope looked away and sang a selection of Irish Shanties.) "Stoning" was never practiced by Christians, btw, it is exclusively Old Testament or our muslim friends' practice. Burning at the stake: European Catholics. American Protestants used the much more humane hanging...Slavery? A pracice of 'all' religions at one time or another since time began.

My, I included 'dear leader' just for you. And I could support the Tooth Fairy once I hear her stand on immigration.

Christian always finds a way of weaseling their way out of the very Bible they thump.

Mysticism, I mean, Christianity, and all other Religions are a fantasy practiced by billions of duped humans.

Pst, the Tooth Fairy is a boy *sniggers*.

I know you included it just for me. I watch Hannity, and some other 'entertainment news' fat-heads almost daily.

I don't particularly like Romney, but in an Obama/Romney election, it's a no-brainer for any lover of Liberty to vote against Obama. Romney provides a better option to Obama than McCain did.

I like Cain, Bachman, Palin, Gingrich, Pawlenty, and Huckabee (although he is not running anymore). None of them are perfect. All are better than Romney. A rock would be better than the grossly anti-Liberty Obama. If the opposition nominates a rock, I vote for the rock.

Right now, although he has not opted in, I like Perry the best. Perry/Bachman would be a nice fit. Gingrich has too much bagage, but would like to see him in the Cabinet--and Palin. I, too, would vote for a rock against that which sits in office today. I'd also make a campaign contribution to the rock.
