Are illegal aliens included in "the people" in that sentence?
Do they have the right to bear arms? Very possibly in their own nation. Not here. Neither should they be here. Being able to defend himself should not include any excuse about the type of gun - no right to be here, no right to be armed here, no right to defend use of gun or defect of gun. If he didn't use a gun and didn't have a gun, that would be an appropriate defense.
The original text said "created equal and independent" - even clearer. Does this mean everyone should exercise every right in every place on earth? That's a very different thing. I have the natural right of owning and occupying private property but it applies to my home, not yours. Main purpose here was to justify changing the government, talking about the equal rights of Colonists on their own land to the British, not singing kum ba yah and working for Soros.
(BTW, I love how the Declaration talks about the "just powers" of governments instituted to secure those rights, might as well note that as long as we're quoting the document. Do we all fully believe that here? Do we believe in that Creator that people are mocking on another thread?)
Were the Savages created equal from the writers' perspective? I don't pretend to know, but interesting choice of words. Be very careful throwing all your rights as a citizen of your own land to any passerby or invader without a thought. This alien has broken the law endlessly, has brought violence, insurrection, and savagery here, and is spitting in your face, using our resources and legal system against us with the help of some of our own people. Jefferson and Franklin were not that gullible. Let's not disrespect the memory of those great men by associating them with these current self-destructive trends.
