Not all at once, but one by one they will lie, those lies will be believed or at the very least, accepted by those not taking any chances. This is a must watch video-

I'm all too familar with what Ian DeSantis had to go through. In 2008, in fact the night before the election where Obama became president, I became victim to police who just wanted to get me no matter what. With nothing valid to charge me with, they made up lies and put them to paper. This way, they don't have to allow a jury trial or due process, can't be held accountable as they are not doctors trained in this area, all they need is to state an opinion and it's golden. In my case police were using bating tacticts attempting to get me to assualt them. When that didn't work, they did this.

A voice recorder would have been a life saver for me on that night. That is if they didn't take it and erase the recording. I must get one soon. Sergent Brown's words to me should have gotten him fired, and me wealthy. As for the story above, I will be following it as much as I can.

Something for the OCers here, and really any gun owners to keep in mind. Be carefull what you say to your doctor.

Perhaps, but I'd be more inclined to think that his first mistake was calling his mother. She really threw him under the bus. I don't know if older people grew up in a time when police were not all that bad, so they trust them more, or maybe she didn't consider that calling the suicide hotline would invilve the police. But these are all connected. Even the mental hospital is state run, as are the sheriffs. They work in concert, cover for on another. If jails are near empty, they scramble to fill them, if the mental institution has rooms available, they must pick up people to fill them, if the courts don't have enough cases coming through to keep judges, procucuters, and public defenders busy and employed, they bring in more charges and it don't matter how valid a case may be.

Police, jail gaurds, and similar answer to no one outside of their circle of protection who will cover for them. The harder I pushed for them to answer for what they had done, the more greif they brought my way.

Yes theres alot of shoulda woulda, couldives. But at the time, many don't see the best action to take. It's easy to anilize and make these calls after the fact, but at that moment, this guy just wanted to clear this up and get back to his normal life. Maybe next time he will know better. As for me, I'll try not to make the same mistakes. I'll never invite a cop or police into my house or open the door for them, I'll never voluntary follow them out to their car, I don't care if i'm laying on the ground bleeding to death, I will not ever call for an ambulance. And after watching this video, I might never trust my mother.

His mother was hearsay, if that is all they had they should have left him alone. IMO if a person wants to commit suicide they should be left alone, it is their life their choice. Police when they swarm a person does nothing to prevent suicide, and they may very well bring it on by painting a person into a corner.

If it was me and the police showed up at my door I would have told them to either get a warrant or procreate themselves.

I watched the video and it is scary. Complaining about losing a job, Mom maybe watches too much TV, and then...take off your clothes, you need to be in the mental hospital, and you have to agree to get rid of your gun to get back out.

If that many cops were actually muzzling him like he said, he may be very lucky to be alive. Bad finger position, someone steps on twig in the yard....

Even regular hospitals and clinics are getting ridiculous. I was admitted to a hospital when I was too weak to walk, and they were going to hook up a device to beep and alert a nurse if I tried to sit up! No thanks. Everything like that is "standard procedure" and I had to firmly talk them out of it.

I'm sure they will use every possible way to confiscate guns on mental pretext if they can, so don't let any gun compromise happen in DC, and be careful what you say on a bad day or if you have a health issue. Doctors love to believe that everyone is panicked, stressed, depressed, or imagining things.

+1

I know there are many good police, but there are plenty of not-so-good ones too. For a while I was always seeing 3 police cars to issue Granny a ticket. We need fewer police so they can concentrate on the more important work instead of bothering good citizens.
