I have now seen 3 open carriers come through the store where I work. I was clocking out and talked to one and got to hand him some pamphlets, the first one, I asked him if he was on OCDO, he gave the practiced, "I'm just a citizen upholding my 2nd amendment rights" I said no Open carry dot org, He said yes this is open carry. To many customers to try to get him to understand my simplistic question. He is unfamiliar with us, a rogue unicorn. And the other was just a glimpse as he was leaving. I think it is cool to see them come thru.

I had to laugh, since I gave my boss the copy of the email Bill got and posted from our corporate office, and him being the credit collector he is. He told the guy, "we have an employee who doesn't like seeing firearms, and if you have a problem you just tell him that I said it was ok". I think it is funny that he had no clue till I gave him our printed policy. But what the hey, as long as our guys get to shop while displaying their passion for the law, that's all that matters to me.

I still think he should be a real boss and tell the other employee that we follow state law, you will do as your told, and not give the employee a chance to cause another open carrier grief.

Nice to have a Boss who doesn't want to hassle customers who are carrying but does he allow EMPLOYEES to carry??? Does the Company???

Gee, if they think it's safe enough for Customers (who they don't know) to carry then why not for Employees (that they DO know) to carry a firearm on their premises?
