...I ain't cussin'...but I was mad that the posts I mentioned were more directed at pickin' on others' posts than helping the OP...So I'm back to apologize to XD-GEM and Malum Prohibitum...I was too touchy and I'm sorry...please forgive me and I'll be more careful not to snap at you....I could have said what I had to say a lot nicer...no excuse.....

my original reason for posting was to show the OP that not all paint bikers with the same brush...that demeanor is more important than looks...then my demeanor went all to .......and my reason for tellin' the nice biker to put his coat back on was to: A. Keep him out of jail if he didn't have a carry permit, and B. Keep him from losing his permit for carrying openly if he did have one....so I'm not always anal....:?

...I mean :D...

Which one of these guys looks more intimidating ?

This guy with his shirt tucked in, belt on, nice shirt, trimed cut hair/clean shaven,

Or this guy,

biker_man_with_gun.jpg
The first guy appears to be the more immediate threat. Notice the narrowed eyes and clenched eyebrows. His right hand is hovering in the draw range of the weapon. Notice how the bag is carried on the tips of the fingers to allow for a quick release. He is walking with what seems to be a purpose. The holster is also specifically designed on an appropriate angle to allow the weapon to be brought into quick play.

The second guy is in a relaxed posture and the grip on the weapon is also relaxed. He will have to overcome the weight and adjust to bring the weapon to bear. He could also get the weapon tangled in his hair, thereby further slowing him down. His expression is just one of "enjoying the day".

I would keep my eye on the first guy.

Sorry, I could not resist :D

Yep I've just recently had several people think I was a cop.

This is sorta what I look like. Naturally I wasn't wearing the uniform and take a good look behind me.

Thank you for the kind words. I have learned so much here, I only hope I can repay it some.

Alas, the training never goes away does it? It has kept me out of trouble and helped alot in other ways as well.

LMAO. I am glad you took it in the spirit intended. What I really saw was someone very aware and attentive to detail. The walk is VERY important. It says volumes even if you are not OC'in. In my post on my first OC, I got out of the car and walked like I was doing nothing wrong., since I was not. Head bobbing, turning, restlessness, all are primary indicators. So keep walking proud!

I had to edit after re-reading this post. It sounded to me like I was instructing the sarge. I would never presume to do that with someone who obviously knows what he is doing. The information was for those who are reading and considering OC. Do not be nervous, you are doing nothing wrong.

Sorry SGT.
