They are NOT on the doors from the pull in lanes to where the reps write up your ticket, NOR are they on the door from that area into the waiting room. They ARE on the doors leading into the service area from the front and the rear that are adjacent to the service lanes.

I can just go wander around looking it over. Locate signs and advise sales manager that I just moved to the area and am looking for a new dealer to work with. Let him know that I am in the market for a diesel and having signs posted cost him a sale. They will not like that at all.

Next time I am in Roanoke I will make sure to get by there.

There is an RK Auto Repair in the Lexington/Roanoke area.

Good to know but since the recent alert/post was about a change in the policy at RK Chevy in the city in which I live, I stepped up to add my voice of objection to the change in policy. I can't often support efforts in Richmond or Norva, but when it is in my backyard, I do what I can.

Open carried at Lowes in Suffolk, Hardees in Suffolk and Dollar General in Surry today.
In the last several weeks I have OC'd at Wawa Mercury Blvd, Sears Mercury Blvd, Home Depot Hampton, KFC Hampton, Mc Donalds Mercury Blvd, Food Lion Carrolton, Tractor Supply Co, Smithfield, 7-11 Smithfield, Food Lion Smithfield, Food Lion Windsor, Bass Pro Hampton, ColdStone I/C Hampton where I talked to a guy asking about open carry legality in VA. I gave him the quick run-down of VA laws (or lack of) concerning open carry he said he wanted to start OCing.
Lots of other places I probably forgot about..

Trust you gave him a VCDL carry card and invited him here to OCDO.

Didn't even think of that, to be honest. I usually do, at least the OCDO part. But, I have been educating folks as the opportunity presents itself.

I'm moving to the Norfolk Chesapeake area next week and catching up on gun laws up there. I've read a few things and it seems like I am allowed to open carry my glock with no permit. As long is it's showing. Only need a permit to conceal it. Is this true? I just move there and just like that I can open carry my pistol with no permit.

If not otherwise restricted, true in most places.

Victory Park Newport News

Yesterday I OC'd at Victory Park in downtown Newport News. Thought there might be an issue when Park Police showed up. (Almost never see them at the park. Most of their parks are at the other end of the city, a 15 mile highway trip for them.) No issue though. They just walked by. Didn't even say anything, then left.

Might have been a MWAG call - they confirmed indeed there was and left or you just happened to coincide with their weekly inspection.

Things have changed so much since I worked at NNSDD and lived in downtown NN.

Well. I haven't posted in about 6 months, been busy.

Bought a house in Suffolk and spent 4 Sundays in a row riding with the real estate agent. She asked the first time if I was a cop and when I explained I OC because I refuse to get a permit, she seemed to understand and never mentioned it again.

Went to Franklin and stopped at the Bojangles (one of the best Bojangles I've been to) and I was wearing my Jericho shirt with a small picture of my pistol on the front. The cashier said she hoped I wasn't going to shoot anyone because my shirt made her nervous.( I don't think she even saw my pistol.)

I was very polite and she seemed ok with me once I talked to her, but it was a new experience having a grown woman scared of a t shirt.

Other than that I have been all over, even went to a couple people's houses to buy things from letgo with no issues.

Went to the Steak and Shake and the Sprint store on Mercury Blvd., no issues.

Then we went to the gun show at the Convention Center.
I left my pistol and holster in the truck because I didn't want to deal with security and wasn't sure on what they would do with OC'ers. The gun shows in NC always banned OC.

There was an OC'er in line ahead of us and he went over to the cops and unloaded his pistol so they could put a zip tie through it.

Does this seem asinine to anyone else? You are making people handle loaded firearms in public to prevent them from handling loaded firearms in public.

After that we went to the Fresh Market in Newport News and I had one guy follow me through the store, he never said anything, but every time I saw him he was staring at me. Oh well, I can't help it I'm beautiful.
