On another firearm related forum I saw a little posting about short phrases that COULD be used for bumper stickers related to Gun Control.

Here is the one that I came up with that I like "MOSTEST"....

"Gun Control like Prohibiting SOBER driving to Stop DUI's"

A version of this is posted on my FB comments/status page....

Thoughts, suggestions, improvements

Maybe a T-Shirt statement!

Too long and takes too much tme to think about it.:( But thumbs up for thinking about how to get the message across.

It's from someone else (can't remember who) but I like "GUN OWNERSHIP IS NOT A CRIME". That and the old stand-bys "When Guns Are Outlawed Only Outlaws Will Have Guns" and "How Long Does It Take A Cop To Arrive After You Dial 9-1-1?"

Whatever you come up with needs to fit in a box 11 inches long x 5 inches high when printed in letters 1 inch high. That's not a lot of space to get a message across that someone can read in less than 2 seconds.

stay safe.

If you're going to do t-shirts, you should do one comparing the differences in times between the time it takes for an attacker to kill you from 20ft, the time it takes the police to arrive after dialing 911 and the time it takes to stop an attacker while using a firearm. Then on the back, ask "which will you use?" and have a photo of a gun *cough*Walther P99*cough* and a cellphone. ;)

Just thought of one. A lot won't like it.

Custer wished for gun control for others.

See what happened?

Off subject but one of my favorite bumper stickers:

CUSTER HAD IT COMING!
