I was wondering the same thing scouser! I've been watching the thread every day and am shocked that no one has responded. Guess everyone is too busy? Quite surprising though and frankly a bit disappointing. Maybe our posts will trigger some activity!

well my thinking right now is we're expecting snow this weekend, so that's probably going to keep more people home.
Seems like every January dinner i can remember we've either had snow or been threatened with it.

I don't know if it's the location that puts people off, I know it's not exactly one of the best parts of the county, but when we went there a couple of years ago the food was good and portions were generous, the meat lovers calzone that I ordered lasted me for 2 more nights, and anyone who has seen me eat will realize how much food that must have been.

Perhaps January is not a good month to have our dinners? People trying to cut back on spending and eating after the holiday season and all that.

Julie and I are 50/50. Very much depends on when she gets off work, and especially since this is across town for us. The food sounds delicious.

Think the forecast for snow is becoming quite significant. With temps staying cold, it will be around for a while. Based on all you said scouser and especially now with the snow coming, it would appear that the next dinner will be in February!!

Look forward to next month.

Enjoy and be safe.

Storm coming, inches of snow in Virginia, no one having confirmed they'll be there ...

i haven't booked anything with Carini's and I'm highly unlikely to head out there this coming Tuesday. I'm not going to say this dinner is canceled, but I will suggest that if you decide to attend there is a higher than good probability you will be alone (I think that's kind of how skid would have said it :) )

I do, however, think we should return there again sometime this year, the food was really good there

I think some of it was folks like me were planning on being out of town. I will agree that Carini's is fantastic food. I go there with my gun show dealer buddies every Saturday when there is a show in Richmond. so we will have to reschedule. It also in retrospect may have been too close to the lobby day dinner and breakfast.
