Walt Kowalski: Ever notice how you come across somebody once in a while you shouldn't have messed with? That's me.

Walt Kowalski: [sneering and aiming his gun[/i]] Get off my lawn!

I was in Mr. Eastwoods presence once while operating a tow truck in Carmel, Ca.. I don't get starstruck, am not easily impressed.. but it was 'the Clint' !!

I have a friend who was attending the Army School of Languages out there. He met someone who said he knew where Eastwood lived. Several of them got together for a party and drove to Clint's house to invite him. His wife (at the time - Maggie I believe was her name) answered the door. She said he had had a hard day and probably wouldn't be making it to the party. They said they could see him sitting in his living room with his feet up, drinking a beer.

Can't verify everything other than the fact that the man who told me this was an honorable man of character.

When Clint Eastwood was filming "In the Line of Fire" (guess that's the one), he decided to take a drive deep into Virginia during a break in filming. He stopped at an Amoco station in Carson to fill up and an attendant recognized him and took his picture (with his premisison). I stopped at that same station sometime after that for gas when heading back home and saw the picture which was blown up and hanging for all to see in the station.
